Love the shoe, but the inner lining could be hemmed up better and less exposed, as this is a shoe to be worn barefoot.

i ordered the shoes a little big so she could wear them in 6 months, and although they are longer than she needs right now, they still stayed on her feet as she swam and ran on the beach and she had no complaints. thanks.

My three boys love these shoes. The do wear out, but the boys are hard on them. I love the fact that they can put them on by themselves and they have great gripping soles. The adjustable velcro helps them stay on different types of feet - I have one set of long skinny feet and one that is short and round. They also dry quickly. I would recommend them highly!

These water shoes worked great for my 2-year old. I followed the sizing guide and ordered a size 5 (he normally wears a 7) and they fit great. The maximum foot length shown for each size on the chart is indeed the maximum inside dimension of the shoe. The outside sole of the shoe measures approximately 1/4" longer.

I am sure they will work fine, but they are not stitched well. Few marks and errors visiable, but still good for the price I paid. All else is good though. Maybe one bad apple? : )

The shoes were just as expected. I got them for my 18-month-old son to use over the summer and for our carribbean trip and they were great. They're very easy to get on and off (even with wet feet) and they fit perfect because I followed the sizing chart. He would often wear them while swimming, playing on the beach, or just around the pool. The only downside was that they took a long time to dry out. On vacation, he used them everyday and they would not always dry completely overnight. I plan on buying another pair, as he has already outgrown these.

These were bought for my 1.5 yr old. They are great/quick/easy to throw on for a quick walk.

I felt the sizing was off on these shoes. They run big. In fact I ordered a second smaller pair for my son, keeping the larger pair for him to wear next year. I also wish that the velcro allowed to pull it just a little tighter.
However, overall the adjustable strap works very well. They are much easier to get on and off than regular water shoes. We just took the shoes to the beach this weekend, and they worked great for both my 2 year old and my 4 year old. No issues with their staying on, and my 4 year old is able to put them on without help.

Order as recommended. I am glad I did, even though they are a smaller size than I usually would. The design is great and helps get the shoes on and off relatively easily -- even with wet feet! I originally bought them for a beach vacation, but now we use them for swimming lessons too.

It was the end of the summer. Our 18 month's old water shoes were too small, and we were headed to the beach!!! One Step Ahead saved the day!! I had to get a shoe a little big, but like the other reviewers stated the strap on these shoes allows you to tighten them up. So, she looks like she has floppy shoes on, but her foot is protected from the broken shells on the beach!

These things are planks! The way they're advertised is an infant/toddler shoe. I ordered a 3 for my 18-month old and they almost fit on my foot. Hopefully she will get to wear them at some point in life, but it won't be anytime soon. I would return them, [...]

My son loves these shoes. I bought them at the end of the season on sale so you can't beat the price and the quality is wonderful. He uses these for swimming lessons, but the soles are substantial enough (compared to others) that he also wears them for some daily use. The description does say these run large and that is definitly true. Although, with the way they fasten, he does fine wearing them a bit large. For a younger child I would be sure to measure using the guidlines listed with the item.

Great for toddlers who don't like to get hot sand on their feet and super great for travelling in airports, easy to get on and off as you go through security, but has hard soles.

These shoes are an awesome fit. From reading the other reviews before ordering I anticipated them being a half size too big. My son has a wide foot and they fit perfect he didn't want to take them off. We got them for our vacation to the beach which is 2 weeks so we'll see how they work.

I bought these for my 18 month old daughter who loves to run around on our pool deck and play with her water table. I was concerned with her slipping (since we also do bubbles outside). AND the outdoor pavers get very hot in the FL sun. I keep these shoes on our porch and easily slip them on when we go outside. No fear of slipping or her burning her feet anymore!
Her feet are wide and they seem to fit just fine so I am not sure if they would be too wide for kids with narrow feet??? She seems to like them and they are very cute. A great buy for kids playing outside with water activities.

When I received these shoes one of them had a lot of glue at the toe and also where the mesh came together it was already ripped out. I contacted customer service and they made the replacement process easier than I would have imagined. I am currently waiting for the new pair to arrive.

I love these shoes! I got these for my 14 month old for his first trip to the beach. I ordered a size up because he's between sizes and even though they were a little big on him, they were so easily adjustable that they were able to fit him perfectly! And he'll be able to wear them for the rest of the summer! I hated those water shoes sold at stores where you have to jam their little feet in or sandles with straps on top. These kept his feet covered from the sun and protected from hot sand and shells perfectly. They dry fast and are easy to clean too! I highly recommend these shoes.

The shoes are great and truly stay put on my daughters feet. It took her a few minutes to get use to them but she really likes them. They are great for water and playing outside. Her feet stay cool and are protected from the sun.

These were great. I had a hard time finding a pair of watershoes for my three year old. He has very wide feet and regular water shoes are impossible to put on him. He happily wore these for ten days straight to protect his feet from the rocks and zebra mussels in the lake. We were very pleased and will be buying another pair for next summer. Well worth it.

We used these shoes on a recently camping trip to the lake. They are easy to put on and they stayed on my son's feet. He could walk easily in them and they didn't rub on his feet. They also dry quickly. Good water shoes.

We are used to higher quality shoes than these (handmade, leather) so we were a little disappointed with the quality of the shoe. Still, our son LOVES to get wet so we need a shoe that could get wet & survive. We've used them for a month now and these are working well for us. He seems to like them, too. Good for puddling, water-play, pool & gardening.

These shoes are great. We have several pairs for my kids and their friends. We use them in our river to keep the kids from having their feet cut from shells or from hungry crab claws. They'd be great for the pool or waterparks too.

These are very cute and great for kids with wide feet, I would recommend going for a size smaller than you normally would. My son was measured recently to be 6 1/2 or 7, I ordered a 7 and I don't think he'll be able to wear them this year at all....I am hoping his feet won't get too big to wear them next summer, or we will have had no use out of them.

There is a lip on the inside of the heel that is very uncomfortable and gave my son a blister after wearing them a very short time.

after scouring stores and being very disappointed with the swim shoes being sold, I found these by accident. These shoes stay on( unlike another popular brand), so kids can run, swim and play. Wish I knew about you selling them a few years ago!!!!

I tried the shoes on my son after receiving them to make sure they fit right and the velcro strap broke just as I was strapping it to his foot. The strap has no elastic connecting to the shoe so I dont even see the purpose of it. Dont waste your money on a shoe that is made so cheap. I guess when you pay [$]for shoes thats what you get. This is the second time I have bought water sandals from onestepahead.com, I will never do so again. The first pair slipped off of his feet continuously, finally I threw them away.

The velcro strap is great, they are alittle wide for my son's feet and I can tighten them with the strap. They seem to make his feet heavy in the water, because it only drains from the top. Overall it has good traction. and are comfortable and fit well.

We needed a shoe that my daughter could wear to the beach. She didn't like walking on the seaweed. They did retain water on the inside, but they fit well and didn't trip her up. We are picky shoe people, and they worked. Dry fairly quick. Do run a bit big, but you can velcro them tighter.

I have bought your water shoes the last 3 or 4 years for my kids, they have always been fantastic. However, you changed them this year and they are terrible. I bought 2 pairs for each of my kids and my sons water shoes have fallen apart. Next year, please go back to the same ones you've had the last several years, or I will not buy them for my kids next year.

My daughter would get sores on her feet and toes from the rough surface at the pool. Since recieving these shoes, she has not complained once of sore feet, blisters, chaffing, etc. Easy for her (3yrs old) to get on and off by herself.

These shoes were nice and wide - easy to put on and take off of wet, sandy feet. The velcro adjustable strap was absolutely necessary. They were a little too roomy so I didn't want the kids to run in them but they worked out perfectly for us. They kept their little toes above the hot sand and small rocks and at the end of the day there were no blisters. Very happy with these!

I bought these shoes for my daughters in a size smaller than they normally wear, as everyone recommended. They fit great. They are perfect for the not-so-sandy beaches of The Great Lakes where zebra mussels are the most common ground they walk on. The girls absolutely LOVE them. My only complaint is that they have started to smell, so apparently the antimicrobial lining wasn't tough enough for our microbes. Because of the smell, I don't think these shoes can become hand-me-downs, but at this price, it doesn't matter.

I baught these with the intention of having my 20mo daughter wear them to swimming so that she doesn't fall on slippering floor. She had a hard time walking with them in water (compared to bare foot), so I took them off. She only had them on for about ten min., and there were red marks and small blister-like formation already on both feet, both front and back, that took the rest of the day to go away. I'm going to have to use them like regular shoes with socks.
