This timer is great for newborns and young infants. I used it most for feeding times. I nursed my son and used it to time how long he ate and how long in between feedings. They eat so often sometimes its hard to remember. This would make a great baby shower gift.

I guess this would be helpful if you weren't keeping detail on feedings and types of dirty diapers, but as the mom of 3 year old twins who was also exclusively breastfeeding newborn twins for their first 6 months, I kept track of time on each breast for each baby and no. 1 and no. 2 diapers (this is what we tell moms to do where I work - an all woman's and children's hospital). This did not allow for the detail required to know how much your baby is eating and so then I was writing it down AND using this as a timer. Redundant and completely unnecessary. Besides, when I had it on paper I could quickly and at a glance know exactly what both babies had eaten/excreted in a matter of seconds. They need to make it a little more comprehensive for parents that are actually keeping track of the details. Especially since you can just download a free app on your iPhone that will do all of what this will do and more!!

Absolutely love this product! Would recommend it to everyone. All you have to remember is to push the button to reset the amount of time last feed, diaper changed, and slept. Also has a clock and built in light.

Great way to keep track of feedings,naps,and diaper changes. I wish I had had this with my first two. Much easier than writing it down in a log. Especially great for the early stages of newborns when mommy is so exhausted she can't remember anything!

I used this when my 2nd daughter was born, and let me tell you, it was a lifesaver! You simply click the appropriate button when you feed, diaper, put your baby down to sleep, give medicine, etc. Then you can easily see how long "it's been" since your baby was fed. This lights up at night, and also has a feature where you can set it to show which side your baby last nursed on. Extra features include an alarm (never used this) and clock. Truly a lifesaver for parents of newborns. You don't have to think or write things down, just look at the timer to know how long your baby has slept, or even how long it was since you gave your child her last dose of medicine. My girls are preschool and toddler-age now, and I still use this when they get medication, and even as a timer. My brother and siter-in-law just had their first child and this was one of the first things I purchased for them. Love it!!

This thing is amazing! Simple, easy to use. Although I sometime misplace it, I recommend this to all my friends that are expecting!

When I bought it, my husband rolled his eyes!
When I gave it to my day care provider, she rolled her eyes! Both said, "can't you just remember". NOW they both love it as much as I do!
I see Becky struggling to answer the other parents questions as to when the child woke up, ate, last diaper change etc. All she has to do is hand me my itzbeen! If I forget to bring it, she calls and asks me to drop it off! Same with my husband! He NEVER pays attention to time, so this is a must!

What a fabulous item for new parents! I loved mine and passed it on to some more new parents. It withstood the test of time! The only thing I would suggest to people that buy one of these is to make sure you use the lock feature so as not to reset the timers on accident ;) Also keep it out of the hot sun. The screen will turn black. If you do let it sit in the hot sun and this happens, DON'T throw it away... remove if from the sun. It usually goes back to normal with some time :)

I used this to time my newborns feedings and diaper changes. Also used it for her medicine schedule. She is a preemie and I was very sleep deprived. This helped so much. I was very busy with my other two toddlers and needed to make sure she was getting what she needed when she needed it. This has an alarm, so even if I was busy I knew when to wake her. This would be great for a new mommie, experienced mommie, or a mommie with the challenges of a special needs baby!

I have the Pink Itzbeen and I love it. We do sometimes forget to set the times but for the most part we remember! This is very helpful when your out and about all day, and I make sure to take it along every time. I'd recommend this to any mom!

My sister gave me this device before my son was born and the truth is I didn't think I would use it much. It has actually been very useful. My husband and I both work opposite schedules which allows us to both be the main caregivers of our son. By using the Itzbeen, he can tell me how long ago he fed the baby or when he gave him Tylenol etc. The nightlight feature has been very useful as well. I used the light when getting up to breastfeed and getting situated. The nice thing about the light is that is turns off automatically after a few minutes.

We didn't have this with our first daughter but I bought it when we had our second daughter. No more memorizing the time your baby eats, sleeps, or takes medication. This thing does it all for you!!! I even use it when my 3 year old goes down for a nap to make sure she doesn't nap too long. I used it while I was pumping and remembering when I should take medication as well. Wonderful!! All new mommies will be getting this at their showers!!
