Nice and sturdy potty chair; however, my 2 year old complains and will no longer use. It leaves visible red marks on her bottom.

Got this in prep for visit from step granddaughter and she loved it enough so that it actually helped motivate her to head for the bathroom instead of going in her pants. The design makes grown ups smile, too. Easy to set up, light weight.

Comments about One Step Ahead Wooden Potty Chair:

My son had a plastic, inexpensive potty and he looked so uncomfortable on it. It was difficult for him to sit down on it because he had to get his legs on either side of it and then sit and depending on what he wants to do on the potty, he has to adjust his position on it. I saw this wooden more traditional looking potty chair and saw the fantastic price of [$] and ordered it. It is awesome. Very easy to set up, it's sturdy and attractive. He can walk up to it and sit down like it is a chair, and the pot part is large enough that he can do whatever is neccesary on the potty without adjustment. I opted not to install the toilet paper holder for now because of space restrictions in his bathroom. If you google wooden potty chair you will see that most of them start at 80 dollars. [$] is a steal for this. My son is peeing in the potty all the time now and it finally happened just weeks after buying this chair. I am not saying it is fully responsible, but I KNOW it helped considerably. It made him comfortable and not to mention proud.

At first I though this was a nice potty chair for my son. After putting it together my son was so excited to try his new potty, and it leaked. I looked at it and there is a gap between the seat and the bowl which could be glued but then it will be a pain to clean out. Also, since it is a potty chair you can't return it. I feel like I just through money out the window. In my opinion this product is poor quality.

Comments about One Step Ahead Wooden Potty Chair:

This potty is well thought out. I love the little book storage as well as the toilet roll holder. The main drawback with this product is the the actual potty keeps on falling off the underside of the potty chair. This is certainly a drawback and I had to glue it on for it to "operate" more efficiently. Other than that I am very happy with this product.

Comments about One Step Ahead Wooden Potty Chair:

I got this potty chair because I thought it would be a lot like this small wooden chair my son has at home already that he sits in.. and it is like that in that it is supportive on his back and has arm rests to hold on to. This would be a great potty chair if it weren't for the poor construction of it. The first day I got it my son stuck is foot in the potty bowl part of the chair...well the potty bowl is only attached to the chair by a semi-circle piece of cardboard and a few staples that are NOT deeply stapled into the wood. So the cardboard came detached from the chair and now this potty chair is useless. This should be made differently so that what makes the bowl stay attached to the chair is Super-glued on there and cannot be easily destroyed by a slip accident like my son putting his foot in the potty bowl. My son does like this chair...he will sit on it for awhile since it is like a regular chair with back support, but the construction is poor! I can't believe I paid [$] for something that feel apart so quickly. I want my money back!

My 5 year old daughter has soft muscle tone, and is very short. Getting up to the big potty in time has been impossible! Now she can potty train with more dignity and better success! My 1 1/2 year old is also really excited to practice with it! The ease of access to the potty is a huge plus.

The potty seat hurts my grandsons bottom when he has to sit on it for more than a couple of minutes to have a bm. I would like to see a potty chair made for an older or larger child. One that is higher off the floor and the shield for boys farther away. Since he won't sit on it for very long he hasn't "done" anytihng on it.

Comments about One Step Ahead Wooden Potty Chair:

This is an awesome potty chair for special needs kids. Our youngest child has low muscle tone, and has difficulty lowering to, and rising from a low squat with no support, which other potties do not offer.

This chair is stable (doesn't slip out from under tiny hineys like others do!) and has hand rails for our child to steady himself as he sits and rises. The chair back also provides back support to maintain proper sitting posture. It's a bonus that the seat does not require a low squat, either.

The wood is smooth and nicely finished. It is easy to assemble with the hex wrench provided, and all the parts line up properly. It took only 10 minutes to assemble this chair.

We're so grateful that we found this chair, as it as taken away a lot of stress and frustration for our child, and is making his toilet learning a successful experience for him.
