This is a great playhouse for an active boy. My 2 year old son loves all the "let's pretend extras". The instructions were easy to follow, it took the estimated 4 hours to assemble, and the only required extra tool was a screwdriver as stated! It is well constructed and appears to be durable and weather resistant. I am very happy with this purchase.

I give this two stars because it was on sale, free shipping and our three year old likes it. But out of 76 pieces to put together and 100s of screws, nuts and bolts, many pieces came cracked, splintered or missing!! Even the second time. And the door had the hole on the wrong side, and then the hole was not big enough to install the door handle. It does not look exactly like the picture and not sure how weather resistant it is. The wind knocked one part down while we were putting it together, and it cracked the wood. And the first round of pieces did not have the labels describing what they were. The company did send the replacement parts free of charge with no questions asked. I wonder though if they ever tried to put it together themselves.

We bought this for our sons 4th birthday. Every kid at one time was in there at his birthday party. It is fun for all ages and very simple to put together.

Great clubhouse and not too hard to put together solo. Only complaint is it's smaller than the dimensions listed. Inside is on 39 inches wide and out to 57 inches when including the porch. Height must include the weather vain because inside it's not 6 ft tall. Better for younger kids, however my 6 year old really likes it.

Every single parent who has come over to our house says how wonderful this club house is and asks where we got it. It was not the quickest thing to put together, but well worth it. It looks just as good, if not better, than the picture here, is super sturdy and kids LOVE it. Our 1 year old putters around in it, our 3 year old keeps very busy in there, and older kids make a beeline for it too (sometimes refusing to let anyone else in...). When we go over to other peoples homes and see their plastic playhouses we are really happy about ours. Well worth the elbow grease and we've had it for almost 2 years. No complaints.

To ensure optimal, long- term durability and fun, treatment with an oil base outdoor wood sealer is required. Wood sealer can be purchased at your local hardware store and should be applied at first signs of weathering.

  Thank you for your interest in the Kidkraft Wood Outdoor Playhouse. This item is weather resistant, but in areas of extreme weather (ie snow and/or extreme heat) precautions need to be taken. Precautions such as keeping it out of direct sunlight when not in use and covering the item during times of snow. Consumers usually use a piece of tarp to accomplish this.
