We were excited to find something simple to use for my daughters windows. When we received the product it didn't work for any of our windows. The size was wrong. If you can get it to fit your window than it is a good product. If you cannot make it fit then it was easy to return.

We have builders windows but from what I can tell it looks like they might be Atrium H-R20-48x78. Anyhow, the wedge falls right down into the crack b/c the space to is too large for these wedges.

I wanted something to stop my 4 year old pushing the windows up and then leaning on the screens or opening the screens to let the bugs in, we have only had a few days of being able to put them to use so far, but so far they are doing what I hoped they would. With these on the top frame of my window, I can slide it down and have the opening at the top to still allow fresh air in to the home and the children in my day care home can still safely have fresh air in, the children are able to look out the window without pushing on a screen.

I bought these when I had my son now I needed a second set for my daughter. These give me peace of mind that they are not going to open the window and crawl out. They were easy to install and I can still open the window some but I know they can't open them anymore than what I have them set at.

Just thought I would add, this looks like a door stop. I've done the sameThing with all of my windows, just mounted door stoppers with double sidedTape on the side of the window to the height I feel comfortable with. Works great,Im sure it's the same, but I have not bought this particular product. DoorStoppers come in different colors and sizes. I used the clear, and they'reAbout [$] for a pack of 2 at just about any store.

It only took my son a week to rip all the wedges off and hide them in the couch. He did not get out the window this time but I don't think anything will work and def not this product. waste of money

We are building a new home and were informed by city code inspector that to protect 2 of our upstairs windows, we would need Angle guards (bars) on the windows. My wife and I are in our 60s and we have no children. Even so, to pass city code, they insisted we needed the window guards. As a less visually invasive solution, I found the window wedge. We love them because, should we ever have a guest with younger children, we will feel our windows are safe.

Used on my 4 year old daughters bedroom window. She likes to open the window and I couldn't screw holes into the windows. So far this has worked great. My only concern will be when she realizes it's velcro.

These work great. Most of our home has new, vinyl windows with protective triangular buttons on the side. My DD has figured these out.
Upstairs are newer wooden windows, with no safety features. We use window wedges and she cannot get them loose. This has to be the strongest velcro ever. Who knows if another, more adventurous child might wrestle them loose, but even I have trouble moving them.

I bought these sort of expecting them not to really work, but they were cheap, so I figured I'd give them a shot. My kids (almost 3 and 5) climb up on the bay windowsill and open the side windows and can easily climb (or fall) out. It's not high, so we just wanted to deter them from opening the windows and climbing out or yelling to the neighbors, really. The problem is, they can easily climb up and reach the window wedge. My 3 yo had it off in 2 seconds, yelled out the window, closed the window, and put the wedge back in place (kind of funny).
I do think they can be effective when the kids can't reach them, especially if you have blinds covering them. I put them in the bedroom window and the little one can't reach them (yet) so for now, I think they will do the trick there. It's either that or a kidproof lock (meaning we'd never really open the window anymore) or bars on the window, and I was hoping to avoid that.

Unfortunately, these don't work as well with all windows that open into the room for washing the outside of the window. The wedge actually releases the top of the window from the track, which could be a problem. On some of the windows, which don't release from the track as easily, they worked very well.

Super easy installation. Takes less than 10 seconds. Adhere sticky strip with velcro to window slide and then attach the part that stops the window from opening beyond desired point.
You get two strips and stoppers per pack. Enough for two windows.
Our windows are very low to the floor on the second story. It would be so easy for our 22 month old to push out the screen and fall. With this application, there is no way he can push the window beyond the limits we set. (Make sure you set it where your child can't squeeze through) You can always adjust your limit to fit your needs.
No tools are required. Super inexpensive. Love it and your child's life is worth it.

Agree with other reviewers- only need one per window. Would probably not place in a completely unsupervised area- because my 3 year old could probably disable it- but for keeping living room windows open without worry- great!
