Comments about Kool Stop International Wind Screen:
Overall I like it. It keeps bugs/dust etc. from hitting my son. It distorts my vision a bit when I look down at the road/path before me. I think it is still a worthwhile purchase.
Brilliant! The Dutch know biking!

I mainly chose Bobike's seat because of the wind shield option. It does a superb job of keeping dust, wind, rain, and twings off my kid's face. It also looks really cool!
This is an awesome bike seat

Coming from the land of Holland - home to real bicycling as a way of life, this seat is the best. I lived there when my daughter was a baby and she loved riding in this seat through the park. It is far more intimate that the rear seats and more secure. It allows you to interact with your child while riding. I am pregnant with number 2 now (10 yrs later) and I am thrilled that I found a place to purchase here.

Not too hard to install, but even a picture instruction would've been nice to have...

Windshield
By Bryan

I have found the windshield to be an essential part for the Bobike Mini.It helps my 10 month old son feel more comfortable and prevents him from doing his usual holding of his breath when to much wind hits his face.
Love it.

We have been using our Bobike seat this summer without the windshield, but broke down and ordered the shield at the end of the season as it is now getting colder for our litte guy to ride up front. What a difference. He loves the seat and being able to see and be part of the action, but this has made him much more comfortable and we feel better that the wind isn't in his face. It is a little difficult to install on all bikes. My husband had to take his handlebars apart to make it fit his TREK bike.
Nice accessory.

Love the Bobike. This accessory is not a necessity, but my one son's eyes tend to get teary from the wind/dust and the screen solves that. Also, the kids like it because it makes the bike look real cool.
Family bike rides on a Sunday
By Dusty Lynn

this is great for my 15 month old. It allows him to view everything I do on the bike ride and I have the peace of mind having him in front of me so I know what is going on with him at all times. The Windshield prevents his eyes from drying out but allows him the view at the same time. He loves it. I am getting another one for my newborn for future family bike rides.
Help keep the bugs away

Wind screen is made of plastic which scratches easily but I suppose glass would be too heavy. Great for keeping the wind and bugs out of baby's face though!
It Works Great!

I do not use it unless I will be riding somewhere other than at home it is big and bulky which it has to be to work properly so I will use it for faster trail riding where bugs and wind will be more affective.
Great to keep of rain and bugs!

This windscreen is essential in Seattle. In the wintertime, it almost completely shields our daughter from light rain, and in the summer at dusk, it keeps the pesky gnats out of her eyes-nose-mouth (too bad there isn't one for me too!)Note of caution: We didn't tighten the nuts enough at first, so that it tended to fold back towards her when we went over a bump--this could be dangerous. The edge isn't particularly sharp, but it's hard. Nuts tightened, and not an issue.Biggest issue is that, depending on your bike geometry, it can be tricky (or not possible) to install. We had a hybrid style bike, where the handlebar pushes forwards off the stem, and so we had to install the windscreen between the handlebar and the childseat. This was really close to her face, so that if she fell asleep, her helmet was up against the windscreen, or if we went over a bump, she bumped.Overall, if it fits your bike, it's well worth it, but you may need to be prepared to return it, if it doesn't. We ended up getting a new bike to fit the seat and windscreen. :P

It's in the way of your view,I really don't see the purpose of it and it's not worth the money to get one.
