I was extremely excited about the idea of the product for my 1 year old. Need a sippy? now you have one...one more thing to make life a little easier....so I thought! I did not realize that there is no valve, its not spill proof, and the opening is quite big. One squeeze, and the drink was everywhere. Good thing is was water, on a 100 degree day. Again, great idea, poorly thought out!!

The Sippin' Spouts, though a great intended idea of making any bottle/water bottle into a sippy cup, fall short of the mark. The whole point of the sippy cup is to allow the child a safe, spill proof way of giving themselves a drink. This Sippin' Spout will never allow that, and I knew that before I ordered due to the spout's lack of a gasket or inner seal. Additionally the spouts do not fit every bottle, but with all the types of bottles today...who would really think it would?

Knowing all this, I ordered these anyway hoping to use them as a training device to teach my son how to drink from a water bottle. For that purpose they work great. The spout directs the water in one path and is teaching him to easily lift the bottle rather than turn straight up. Don't get me wrong he has gotten wet, but this spout gives him more control of the stream versus the normal bottle opening as well as teaching him to stop putting the whole bottle top in his mouth, just the tip.

So, intended use aside...it's a great teaching tool. You can't give it to a little one unattended (possibly choking hazard from too much water at once) or expect them to be 100% spill free while learning...but it does help them get a handle on drinking from a real/adult bottle.

REVIEW SPECIFICS:
Three stars are for modified use (in training), construction/material, and portability.

Loss of stars are for failure to serve intended purpose and cost (come on its just a plastic cap).

I will not recommend this product because the average consumer will be upset by failure to meet product intent of use and need for adult supervision during use.

The idea is great but too many bottles are made with less plastic these days. What this does is make the tops shorter. These caps do not work on the shorter tops. I wasn't able to use it because the water we buy is made with less plastic.

I bought this for my 2 year old to so he could drink out of my water bottles without spilling it all over him. These were great and he loved being able to have his own bottle without me having to help him get a drink.

The spouts do NOT fit all bottles ... I thought they would be good for travel ... for the price, it is a good product.

I like this item and will buy again - but it only works on small water bottles (i.e. Ice Mountain Water) and only ONE of the caps fits - I have tried the other cap on many types of water bottles and none of them fit - the only small bottle that the one cap fit was "Ice Mountain Water" - not Kirkland or other brands - it is a nice product, but please note the above!

I love the concept. This gadget converts a water/drink bottle into a sippy cup. I only wish it had a spill proof design - something that would prevent the liquid from spilling when the bottle is laid down.
I would still recommend the product. Great for traveling or on the go.

Great way to get my daughter to drink water. She always wants to drink out of the bottle like mommy does but doesn't always do it without spilling it everywhere. Great solution!

It is great when you don't have a sippy cup handy. Just screw on the water bottle and it is good to go.

Thought this was a great idea, especially for traveling and nothaving to pack cups or anything like that. Once we received them I found that they do not fit on any bottles except maybe one type of water bottle. Very disapointed in product.
