Although my son loves these when I can get them to work properly, they don't seem to seat in the unit properly or something as sometimes they'll beep back at me when I put the timer back in repeatedly and then a try a few more times and it's fine. I returned the first one I had for this problem thinking it was faulty, but the new unit does the same thing. Don't waste your money.

These are in fact easy to use. I can't imagine why other reviews stated they were difficult. It didn't stop me from purchasing. It's so simple, you just hit the hour, minute and/or seconds buttons to the amount of time you desire. My 2 year old holds it during time out in the corner. Brillant tool for parents and childcare professionals. I use these daily, and again they are simple to use.

This is such a great concept. I just wish they would fix all the issues that this product has. The things that drive me crazy about this thing are.....
- even with a power cord the pagers drain batteries
- the pagers won't shut off at times
- can be difficult to program
- screens get messed up and then you can't read them

IF the batteries in the pagers would last more than a week I might use these more but at this point I have given up!

I have three kids ages 2, 4, and 12 and we do time out by their age. They were constantly asking "Is time up yet?" now they know not to ask. I also like that they are different colors and each child knows which color is their timer so they don't bicker that their sibling is using theirs. It is a little bit hard to reset the time once the timer goes off, but do-able. We also use it for my oldest son to time his computer time because I would always forget to tell him after his hour is over and he would get away with 2 or more hours of computer time, so it is great for many ages of kids.
