Wasn't much help for transitioning my son from our bedroom co-sleeper to his crib. He could have cared less about the HB feature and the snuggy blanket with it is a bit too small. The velcro would not stay attached to keep the bear on the crib which was annoying.Maybe some kids will like it but for us it's not sitting in a toy basket not being used.

My baby is now 9 months old and he loves this bear. We have it since he was a newborn. The Sound/motion activation is excellent. Every time he moves or kicks activate the sound. He just loves it.

Not quite what I was expected. Very impractical. The velcro does not stick well and the device in order to work has to dandle out of the bear, in order for the sensors to work. Even like that baby has to jolt quite a bit to get the sensors started. By the time it happens, my baby boy was full blown covering the womb sound. Maybe it works out in hospitals, for days old babies or preemies, but not for healthy 2-3 month olds with good lungs.

My 4 year old LOVES his "Special Bear". He has had his bear since he was a newborn. When we recieved the bear as a gift, it had a hat attached, which they now have the blankies. The hat is what made this so speacial to my son. He rubs the hat b/n his thumb and finger and goes to sleep. He has slept with it for 4 years. He can't sleep without it. We now have one for my 6 month old son. He sleeps with his also. We don't even use the sound for either of them.

Love this bear--it has assisted our daughter (now 5 weeks old down) tremendously at night, resulting in her sleeping longer and moving back into sleep when she starts to wake up more often (instead of just waking up).

It automatically shuts off after 5 min, though a baby cry or jostling it will turn it back on again. If I would change anything it would be a mechanism that allowed me to determine how long it went for before automatically shutting down. But believe me I got very good at jostling it over and over again until my daughter quieted down into deep sleep!

My daughter loves the blanket that comes with the bear, but the batteries don't even last a week!!! She does sleep better/longer, but I am CONSTANTLY having to change the batteries. Frustrated, I just stopped using it.

We installed this on our crib and found it difficult to attach securely, especially without seeing the velcro. You also have to install it on the right side, so the bear looks to the left. Otherwise you can't see the face. We bought the icrib mp3 player on this site and think that is much better. I bought the Sound Sleep CD which also has the womb sounds, but adds some low background music. If you get those two, you'll have much more versatility. Wish I could return it, but I tossed the box!

I like that my daughter can now rest better and calm easier with the help of this bear. He automatically starts his southing sounds when she makes noise to tell you she is awake or when she moves and touches him. She is getting better nap and night sleeps with her bear, and so are her parents! Thanks!

Womb sounds didn't seem to comfort my daughter when she was a newborn, but this bear has become her cherished "lovey."

Pro: Is machine washable even though it says it isn't (remove the sound box).

Con: Is not durable for teething purposes. "Bear" has had some minor sewing repairs.

I have used this product for 2 sons. One is 4 1/2 now the other 9mo. I have the soundbox hanging on the cribrail. I am not even sure where the bear is. It seemed the sound was too muffled inside the bear so when I had pulled it apart to wash it one time (I just throw the bear in a lingerie bag in the washing machine and it has held up well) I hung the sound box up and never put it back in the bear. It attaches securely with a long velcro strap. I like it better that way. The on/off switch is easier to get to and the batteries don't die as quickly since we can get to the switch easily. It does seem to help soothe my son back to sleep. I would recommend to a friend instead of some other sound players because it is motion activated so if the baby stirs it is automatically activated to soothe the baby back to sleep.

I originally purchased this for my grand daughter (almost 4 years ago) - She now has three of them because she confiscates the ones I have on hand incase I need to purchase one for a gift. The recording is no longer in the bears, as it is not needed, but she enjoys them every day. Every time I have to purchase a gift for a newborn, this is the first thing I buy...it has been a much appreciated item for the parents as well... they say it is fantastic and don't know what they would do without it.

We have twin girls and this bear has been GREAT! If they get too fussy before we can get to them, the bear starts his soothing noise and often puts them back to sleep. If they are being quiet but you would like the bear to come on, just thunk it. And he hangs from the railing!! No SIDS risk! We slept with the bear before the girls arrived and that helped transition them into their crib and other places when we travel.

The bear is cute, but I'm not sure it acutally works. Also, it shuts off automatically so you have to keep turning it on every time and the on/off switch is not easy to get to.
