useless

Comments about Parent Units Tv Guard:
This product was useless. My toddler saw how it could be taken on and off and just pulled them off. He also can push the buttons with the protector in place. We wasted our money.

Keeps some kids from pushing the tv buttons. Can eventually be broken. Wish it was thicker.

This did not deter my 2 year even once. He was able to pull it forward and turn the TV off. But it does deter him from pushing the other buttons.

Awesome and Cheap Fix!!!

I was so tired of hearing my daughter cry and whine because her younger brother had cut the T.V off or changed the channel. I tried teaching him to leave the T.V alone but that didnt work. This product is definelty a parent invented product!! It installed easy. It works great. Now I just have to deal with his tantrums because he cant push buttons!!!
great item!

This is a GREAT item! My toddler loves to push buttons, and I was constantly having to reset the TV functions after he played with the buttons. We have a 27" TV, and I was afraid this would be too small for our TV. It covered the buttons wonderfully! It requires 2 people to install, though - one to lift the TV and one to slide this in.
A lifesaver!!

I cannot say enough good things about this product! My 18 month old loved to change the channels or turn our tv on and off constantly! Like most young toddlers, he loved to play with the buttons. This product prevents him from doing that and is still easy enough for us to take off if we cannot find our remote and must use the tv. We only slide ours under the tv and did not use the tape/velcro that came with it and so far that has worked wonderfully!
Simple Effective
By Oneisenough

This is simple and effective - our toddler just discovered the TV buttons and it was on/off all day. This is so easy and simple, blocks the button. she fussed for a few minutes but getting no reaction from the box she has not touched it since. sigh.
Does Exactly What It Says It Does

My 11 month old daughter used to turn the television off all the time ... now she can't press the button with the guard on. And you can't see it at all. Remote still works perfectly. Only complaint is that the sticker wasn't easily removable and now you can see the glue from it on the plastic.
Needs Improvement
By limabean
We got this to keep our toddler from changing the channel on us constantly, and it works SOME of the time. Occasionally he'll fiddle with the cover, get bored, and find something else to do. But he's figured out how to reach his fingers in around the guard, or pull on it until I'm afraid it's going to snap in two! If we get it at just the right angle to the TV, he can't get to the buttons, but if he pushes on it enough, he can push the buttons THROUGH the guard. This design needs a lot of work.
Second time I bought this
By Luisa

I had this product in my old house back in 2004 for use around my toddler son. I moved in 2006 and it got lost, so had to buy another to replace it as now my toddler son is almost 4, but now have a 1 year old daughter. The TV Gurard is great. I use it for my 32 ' TV.
Terrible Product

The Velcrow has been replaced 4 times, they can pull it off. It was not curved like the TV, so we had to alter it, to make it work at all
Not worth the price
By Hailey's Mommy

Bottom line it works however, I could have gone to the dollar store bought a plastic photo frame and used it to cover the buttons, same concept.
Wonderful!

This simple invention really did the trick. My 14-month-old cannot get behind it to poke the buttons. After a day or two, he stopped even trying.
Okay- not great
By Wedding Planner MOM

This product was okay for protecting the buttons on the TV, but as soon as my son figured out that it was not attached, he pulls it right out from under the TV. I think I am going to try those clear sticky grippers to hold it in place...if that does not work, then all well.
