Sound itself is clear, nice selections of classical music and nature sounds. Doesn't take up too much room. It helps my baby sleep longer and doesn't wake up when I leave the room anymore.

If you're looking for a sound machine and not sure what you need this is a great option. From white noise, to music tunes, to plugging in your own iPod this small machine has it all. The volume range has been perfect so far and we plant o turn it up when the new baby arrives. My son likes the nightlight because it looks like a rocket ship. We plan to take this on travel if we need to and it's small enough that we can do that.

I actually got this machine for myself to use to drown out a nearby train during the night. This sound machine was a lot less expensive than those marketed to adults and it does the job. I just use the white noise option, and I do turn it up as loud as possible. It's still a little quiet, but once the house settles down, it works. The train hasn't been a problem. :)

We've been using this for almost a year. My baby girl had colic for her first 4 months, and this helped soothe her. She's never liked too much quiet, and we run this on full blast for every nap and every night at bedtime. We leave it on all night. The volume levels are perfect. My daughter prefers the womb sound, as some of the nature sounds are a little strange & distorted. But there is enough variety that it's not a deal breaker. I've never been able to get it to work using the batteries, but to me it's not a big deal b/c we've only used it at locations I've been able to plug it in. It is excellent at drowning out my 4 year old's noise so my 1 year old can sleep. I think my daughter will use this well into her college years! :) Love it.

I purchased this product for the white noise, and for the music. What I don't like about it is that the buttons make a semi-loud "pop" noise when you press them and 9 times outta 10, my daughter will stir a little when she hears it. Another thing is that you have to push the same button multiple times in order to get to the sound or song that you're looking for.

I do like the built-in, blue nightlight, and the product does what it says it does so I suppose that's all that matters.

This helps my 15 month old daughter sleep at night. She still doesn't always sleep all night, but she's sleeping more with this than she did without it.

We've tried many, and this was the best. The others were too loud with our hardwood floors. This one has great volume control and seems to block the daily/nightly noises, though the loud footsteps overhead from the unit above and occasional parties outside still seem to bug him. But, a great purchase. 4 stars because I would have liked a 'rain' setting that was just that, rain. The white noise is good, but the rain and ocean has crickets or something that sleep consultant didn't recommend. Our son sleeps great during rain storms, so I was really hoping the rain setting on this machine would do the trick.

I love this product. I use it every night when I put my 9 month old to sleep. It helps drown out the noise in the rest of the house. My only complaint is that when you click the buttons (i.e. on button, volume control, etc) it makes a little noise because you are pressing onto the plastic. Not a big deal, but I'm always worried that will wake my son up. Luckily, it hasn't yet! I highly recommend this product to all moms!

We have used this from day one with our now 16 month old. We have a four year old and have no worries about how quiet we need to be in the house as the white noise just blends it all away. We've taken it traveling and she goes to sleep just like we were at home!

I gave this as a gift and the baby girl seems to like the music. Personally I think it's great because it has many different sounds like ocean, forest etc. plus many songs and also an adapter for an ipod, so you can play your own songs on it, too.

This small super slumber sound machine is perfect!! It calms my baby with white noise, nature sounds, music, heartbeat, volume control, and you can even push a button where the sounds will last for one hour then automatically shutoff (with the exception of the blue glow nightlight). If you don't like any of the sounds you can connect it to your MP3 and play any of your own songs. The connection is hidden under the machine so as to keep it out of your curious toddlers mini hands. My husband and I (not to mention our son) absolutely love it and recommend it in any fussy newborn, toddler's nursery!!

This is a great sound machine. It saves space and can connect to ipod. The only thing missing is a clock. I also have an ihome and the down side was once baby became a toddler he was tall enough to reach up and disconnect the ipod and run away with it. But with this sound machine the ipod is concealed so he can't find it.
