I was skeptical of paying this price for a teething toy, but I had a few friends who raved about Sophie the giraffe, and my 9 month old was chewing on everything like crazy and so unhappy. It arrived in a really nice package, that would be really nice to also give as a gift. I wiped it off with a damp cloth like suggested and handed it over to my baby. She loved it! It seems really durable, it's easy to clean, and my daughter loves it because the shape of the little antlers on its head really seem to soothe her poor gums. She gnaws on it all the time. Totally worth the price.

My daughter is six months old and she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. I love that she finds Sophie's feet and ears fun to "chew" on. She even smiles when Sophie squeaks. Definitely one of her favorite toys!

A friend gave this to us as a gift for my second's first birthday. It is just too cute though I wish we had gotten one earlier. They make great gifts!

This is a great teether. My son was 6 months when we got it for him. It has really helped with his teething. It keeps him entertained for long periods of time.

Sophie is the best thing we've found for teething because of her soft but sturdy feel. I suggest one for home and one for the diaper bag.

My granddaughter was 3 mons old when I gave her this for Christmas....she loved it from day one and still does....she loves to chew on it ....it is easy for her to hold...and soft rubber so she won't hurt herself.

I absolutely adore this toy. I did not buy it for my first son because of the cost but I wanted it so bad. Instead I bought a bunch of cheap plastic toys and they sufficed. But with my second son I decided to buy it. I shopped around a little bit and found a decent price. Even though I could have bought three or four cheap toys for the price of this one, the cheap toys were not as good of an experience for my little one. The back of the box describes the benefits of Sophie so I won't go into that but everything about this toy is perfectly crafted for a baby. I was slightly afraid that this was going to be one of those toys that I loved, but my baby would have no interest in. But that is not the case at all. My baby adores this toy as much as I do. I think all children should have toys that are made out of natural materials and trading four adequate toys for one great toy is so worth it. I would also like to add that one review asked who liked it more moms or babies. The truth is this is a very sensational and trendy toy to parents right now. But, I am also a child care professional and Sophie is a very educational and stimulating toy. Parents SHOULD love Sophie. This is no Tickle Me Elmo. Sophie is definitely worth the hype.

They toy is ok, but when my 6 months old daughter wants to chew the ears, she cries because she can't do it with those small ears. The end of the legs are too big and wide for her mouth to chew and she can't, so she gets desperate of the situation. If the product is fixed or made for this kind of infants wil be great. I know that they have two versions of the giraffe. I would love to see a third one with this description. large ears and thin legs

My grandson got his 1st Sophie for Easter. He starting teething early and Sophie was perfect for his little hands to hold on to. Unfortunately, his 1st Sophie was lost, so he got his Sophie #2. He loved his Sophie. Then somehow she got lost too!!! Soo, Nana got him Sophie #3 in his stocking and he was thrilled on Christmas!!! Hopefully, we will be able to hang on to this one. They are not cheap, but by far his most favorite toy. He's never had a pacifier; maybe that is why he loves Sophie so much!

After seeing this giraffe everywhere, I decided to give it a try despite the expensive price for a rubber chew toy. My 6month old loves it. After a few days, he got the hang of it. Worth the $!

This was the favorite toy from 6 to 12 months...great for teething and she so loved it...took it home and it was always with her! Never imagined it being such a hit...worth every penny and then some!

I have a 4 month old daughter who has shown very little interest in this giraffe. Maybe as time goes on she will like it, but for now was a waste of money. I'm not sure why this is so expensive, looks every bit like a $4 dog toy. It does squeak easily, so maybe in the future when she can manipulate it better she will have an interest.

My daughter loves this toy and she has since she was a newborn! It's great for teaching them motor skills, learning how to grab stuff, cause and effect with the squeaker in it, etc. Overall a wonderful toy! she got 2 at my babyshower

I can't say I would have bought this for myself, given the price, but we received two as gifts. My daughter is gradually becoming more adept at handling objects and likes to chew on the head and legs. I was going to return the second one, but after seeing my dog eye it and how much the baby enjoys it, decided keeping a backup wasn't a bad idea!
