We have the small and large ones. This review is about the small one, which broke at the hinge while trying to open the lock. We had it for several months and it seems fragile. (The large one is doing very well and I recommend it.)

This did last us 2 1/2 years. I wished it was bigger as we have also large bottles of medicine and vitamins, but those got placed in the medicine cabinet which was still out of reach. It lasted until my husband broke it getting in it. So it not only kept my daughter out of it but my husband too.

My 5 year old daughter took it out of the box, asked what it was, and promptly opened the Medicine Safe to look inside! She hadn't even seen an adult open it yet - we had just received the shipment. May be OK for younger kids, but I wouldn't rely too heavily on it's effectiveness! She made opening it look effortlesss!

It's a must have. Very useful give yourself the peace to know meds are safe, and stored.
I would have bought more than one if I knew how useful it was, have to lay bigger bottles on their side. perfect size just get two.!!!

I got these thinking they would be great to keep my 3-year-old out of the medications. It turns out she can open them! Also, if dropped the entire thing pops apart. This also makes it a hazard. I recommend just getting a closet that locks with a key or a tool box with a combination padlock.

We purchased this lock box to store medicine we want to keep in our bedroom. So far it's works great. Sometimes it's a little difficult to open but I guess that's good, actually.

My son was always opening "child proof" bottles. This was a life saver. Its a little tricky to open but its worth it!

My two, almost three, year old daughter had been climbing on the counters and pulling things out of cabinets. I had moved everything up high, but she was still finding ways to get into EVERYTHING. I got this to keep her out of the pills and other medicines she shouldn't get in. It does work, she got a hold of it the other day and rattled it all around and tried to open it. No luck for her! Whoohoo! However, it can be difficult for the parents to open too and that is not so great. I like that my daughter can't open it, but it's a pain to have to open every day. I might move my daily pills and vitamins out of it and just keep medicines we don't use every day in it. I would also recommend the bigger size.

I purchased this product to store the many over the counter and prescription medications that we have in our house at any one time. It brings me relief that they are more secure. Although this product would surely deter my three year old, I'm not convinced my five year couldn't figure out the latch and open it. Because of its size, it doesn't fit in a medicine cabinet. We keep ours under the bathroom sink. The design (open container) does not keep all of the bottles standing upright, so the bottles do not stay organized within the box.

I bought this and the larger medicine safe. I feel they are both constructed well, however, I feel that this one is too small for the average family's amount of medicine. It does not easily fit large bottles.

A great concept, but not well executed. The box is flimsy, and way too small to hold more than one or two things.

It's very difficult to hold and open even for an adult. I like the larger one with the handle but it's too big.
