Sassy Less Mess Toddler Self-Feeding Spoon

Item #: 20885

According to many parents, these angled spoons are easier for kids to grip and guide, which leads to greater self-feeding success! And they further reduce frustration (not to mention mess), thanks to clever holes that keep food from spilling. The toddler spoons' soft bowls are gentle on gums, and the chunky handles are sized for little hands. Top-rack dishwasher safe. For ages 9 months and up.
Please note: Due to the design of this product, these spoons are not recommended for left-handed children.

When I first saw these I thought it would help my toddler eat better on his own but they are too small nothing fits in the spoon and all the food falls right off.

Comments about Sassy Less Mess Toddler Self-Feeding Spoon PINK:

My 15 mo. old grandson is learning to use a spoon & I noticed when he's try to get it from the bowl to his mouth, he'd end up spilling it because he hasn't mastered the wrist movement. These spoons are great. They are already curved toward the baby's mouth, so their attempts are much more successful.

Comments about Sassy Less Mess Toddler Self-Feeding Spoon PINK:

My daughter is only 14 months old, just learning to feed herself. She mimics mommy when eating, therefore she tries to use her left hand to feed herself. They are right handed spoons. I wish they would have came with one of each. Since we don't know yet if she is right or left handed yet, the spoons are a little difficult to use. Also, the food doesn't stay on the spoon like the description states.

Comments about Sassy Less Mess Toddler Self-Feeding Spoon PINK:

My kids had spoons like this when they first started to learn to eat. I looked every where in the city I live in and could NOT find anything like this. I was excited when I found them On Line. I sent these to my granddaughter who is living in Italy. Her Dad is in the US Air Force and so they have a difficult time finding the things they want.

These are great and allow children to learn to eat using the spoon to feed themselves.

Comments about Sassy Less Mess Toddler Self-Feeding Spoon PINK:

Excellent product in my opinion. My 20 month old has really only grasped the concept of feeding himself in the past few months. With these spoons, he gets it (the food that is) every time! It does have the holes in the spoon so things like milk will slip through as its designed to have mashed type foods or applesauce stick to the spoon more so than a regular utensil. Worth the money to at least give it a shot. Been great for us!

My daughter still struggles with utensils so I bought these to help her along. Now I see her using her fingers less and when she uses the spoon, the food gets in her mouth and not on the floor or inside her high chair.

My 18-month old daughter was having a hard time feeding herself with the spoons we bought at the store. She does really well with these and is improving every day. I bought extras to have some for every meal.

I didn't think about it until after the fact but my kid has right side weakness and uses her left hand exclusively. These spoons would be great if made for left handed kids, too. Unfortunately, when put in left hand, spoon angles outward, rather than in towards the child. Not useful at all to us ;-(

Feedings with spoons have been difficult in my house before finding this product. My daughter is an independent 2 year old who does not like to spill food on herself and has been very successful (meaning fewer frustrated outbursts) with these spoons. I'm probably going to buy more.

Comments about Sassy Less Mess Toddler Self-Feeding Spoon PINK:

Bought these for my 1 yo who showed some interest in feeding himself. Design seems to work with both hands. The holes in the spoon are supposed to hold the food on better, but the food has to be pretty thick anyway. They actually don't seem to work any better for him than a regular baby spoon.
