Santa bought this table for my 2.5 year old. Read countless reviews, and thought this particular table seemed to come out ahead...we were wrong. The assembly was ok, though some of the screws split and we noticed the background on the table was starting to peel up a bit. Also, the trains and the building, people, etc., were extremely poor quality. The magnets on the trains were not strong enough, so if it was connected to more than one other, they were break apart going up the hills. The buildings and the tress did not fit tightly into their stands, so if you bumped the table, they would fall over and apart. The designs on the people and the buildings were already fading and looked like the lamination process delivered uneven results (i.e. nose and mouth looked smeared or missing). We noticed a lot of these flaws while putting it together, but since it was from Santa, and he did not have a Plan B, we went with it. My son liked playing with it, but got very frustrated with the pieces and ended up just using his Thomas Trains on the tracks, which worked great, but not why we purchased the entire set.
Customer Service could not have been more helpful or easier to deal with...they get an A+. Had to take it all apart and send it back to the North Pole for the elves to try again. Not exactly how we thought this gift would have ended up.

This is a great train set for the money. The tracks sometimes aren't always even and the 3 pc "train" pieces could use stronger magnets, but overall a great toy for our 3 yr old and 1.5 yr old.

Are the tracks glued down on the table? Can you glue the top so that the main structures & tracks stay in place...even if extra charge required to have done? Thank you?

  Ride Around Town Train Set with Table has tracks that are removable so that different configurations can be done. The tracks can be stored in the plastic storage bins which are included. The table does need to be assembled when received which takes approx. 45 minutes.

Q:
Is this made from wood and is it durable or flimsy and will warp? Who is the manufacturer, what type of paint and finish it has to avoid toxins for a child sucking on these items. What weight will it support as clearly a child will climb on it to reach the "other side". You are missing a description as to how many pieces come with this box and what kind. Is the track changeable to different configuration or only into the shape as shown on the photo....
....wonder why you have either no one purchasing this item if you are so short on information or lacking customer review.

  From my dealings with this company Kidkraft, you will not go wrong. I had a Specialty Toy Shoppe for 12 years and did quite a bit of business with them.I very rarely had a problem and if I did they were quick to fix it. And 99% of the time it was damaged in shipping. There items are great. I am now buying there products at retail :)(grrrr) for my first grandbaby. Oh and all there track is compatable with Brio and Thomas. Hope this helps. It is a bit later.
