It's a first toy robot, it's a spaceship play set...it's two favorite toddler toys in one! Kids love taking charge of this light-and-sound robot, with rolling eyes, flashing grin, and fun sound effects. Better yet: open him up and find the secret space station inside. That lift-off spaceship on its head? Press a button to release the escape hatch, and the spaceman drops safely inside. Space play set includes four characters total, including robot dog (with secret doghouse cubby below the main compartment). Great for pretend play; lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Requires 2 "AAA" batteries (sold separately). For ages 18 months and up.

      My 4 yr old son was desperate for a robot for Christmas. We searched high and low and finally ordered this online. He has repeatedly said it was his favorite present! He loves it. He really likes that the top comes off to become a spaceship for the astronaut figure too. My only complaint is that when it is "talking" I am not sure of what it is saying. I'm not even sure if we are supposed to be able to understand it or not. We definitely can't. My son doesn't care though! I highly recommend this toy for any little robot fans!

        My 4 1/2 year old wanted a robot. I was hesitant because of the age rating of 18 months but i think thats just a choke hazard rating. Very sturdy. He likes it because there are different compartments, three different characters, a spaceship, and trap doors to connect compartments. Pretty much a 4 year old boys perfect toy! It has batteries but are not needed to fully enjoy this toy. I don't see how an 18 month old would fully enjoy the imaginative capacity offered by this toy. I think its good for 3-5 year olds.

            My sons enjoy playing with the robot and the little figures that come with it. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again. Would rate 5 stars if all the figures fit down through the top of the robot's head with the space ship attached. In addition, the doors to the secret space station fall off when dropped. They snap right back on though.

            This is a great, original toy and my son loves robots. The only negative is that the sounds are a little difficult to activate for my son. He has delay in fine motor, but then again this toy may help him further develope his skills.

                  My daughter received this toy for her 2nd birthday. She is now 3 1/2 and while a lot of toys have come and gone, this one has stayed around! Makes cute noises, has a trap door where the driver can go into the body of the robot and a bottom compartment that opens, Same size as FP Little People, so it can be used interchangeably with them. The top of the robot's head comes off to be a separate vehicle. Lots of kids who come for play dates gravitate toward this toy. Very sturdy - it has been dropped, stood on, etc and it doesn't break. It is made so that doors come off easily instead of breaking. We have a lot of toys from this company (the one that makes the robot) and we prefer them to the FP Little People! Oh - and when you turn his head his eyes go all googly! Lots of fun for kids!
