Railroad Crossing

Item #: 14709

"Ding, ding....the train is crossing. Stay clear of the tracks!" This talking railroad crossing sign not only delights little "motorists" but teaches essential track safety. Just like the real deal, it features flashing lights and an electronic, swinging bar. And thanks to the built-in motion sensor, it activates when kids wheel up (they'll even hear the sound of the train lumber by)! Requires 3 "AA" batteries (included). For ages 3 and up.

Disappointed that the product did not work after initial assembly. There were no instructions that explained how the sensors on the toy worked. We are in the process of returning and hope our problems were due to defectrive toy and not an accurate reflection of this product.

Got this as a gift for my nephew who loves trains. It was his favorite gift and he even took it to sleep with him that night. It is not very loud which disappointed me at first but after he played with it for two hours i appreciated the fact that it was more on the quiet side. A Great gift for a little train lover .

Comments about WNR Industries Railroad Crossing:

We wanted this for our grandsons, we thought it would be great for interactive play, its such a great concept. We just returned the third one, and will not try another one. The first one, everything worked except the arm wouldn't go up or down, motor just hummed away. The second one just sat there blinking its lights at you, made two little dings and nothing else. The third one, said the trains coming, made train sound, than just started dinging and you had to shut it off to make the dinging stop. After trying three of them, we never did get to see the arm go up and down. If you do buy this, when you return it, at least the customer service is great.

We bought this for our Son for Christmas this year along with the traffic light. If you have a child who loves trains like ours I would recommend it w/out hesitation because these two were hands down his favorite gifts and still plays with them daily going where ever he goes. He even took his train gate to school with him this week for show and tell.

This was THE gift for christmas for my grandson! He has not put it down except to go to bed. He is 3 y.o. and loves trains and train signals. He carried it with him everywhwere, includung visiting for christmas dinner and even the bathroom. It is light enough and durable enough for him to carry easily. The motion detector and sounds it makes, with the flashing lights are just too cute! Thinking of ordering a 2nd because if this breaks I don't know what he will do!

Comments about WNR Industries Railroad Crossing:

My son is both a train enthusiast and a car nut. We thought this would be a great Christmas present as it encompasses both passions. He has a Radio-flyer car that he rides in the house. He uses the RR gate while he is 'driving'. The motorized arm that goes up/down malfunctions often. In fact, we returned the first crossing gate because it would go down but not up. So far the second gate has worked but he is not as enthusiastic about it as he was in the beginning. It is such a cute idea and as long as you realize it is not durable, it is fun.

Comments about WNR Industries Railroad Crossing:

I purchased this product for my 6yo traffic-fanatic son. We bought a traffic light, which is made by the same company, from a different retailer last year. Both products are cute and a toy concept that is surprisingly hard to find -- I have 2 boys and together with their friends, I have a lot of experience with the fact that boys like transportation toys. I bought this one just because my son put it on his Christmas list, even though I knew it was not a great product, and because it's not a great product it's overpriced. Both toys are not able to be put together in a permanent way, so kids being kids the parts get scattered or broken. The arm on the railroad signal is a sort of stiff foam material that I don't expect to hold up well either.

My son loves this toy. However after about a week, the arm started getting stuck and just goes click, click until you turn it off. You turn it back on and it will work. I like it anyways. It looks so cute in this room.

My son was VERY excited to receive this for Christmas, and he played with it all day that day. Unfortunately, the gear/motor stopped working gradually beginning the second day. The gate won't go up at all now. I kept it because he loved it so much, but really feel it was a waste of money.

My 3 1/2 year old son loves this! We have a "highway" set up in the basement along with a traffic light and gas pump. The RR crossing is darling and teaches him patience as it takes a little while for the "train" to cross and the guard rail to raise. It really does teach safety lessons as well. The rail is foam and the entire piece is lightweight. Bottom can be filled with sand for extra stability. It was definitely worth the price and has provided hours of imaginative play.
