My daughter tried eight other bath helps before we found this one for my granddaughter. It is awesome!. She felt supported and secure, and we could bathe her without worrying about soapy, slippery hands hanging on to baby. Don't let the "preemie" label stop you. Ours used it until she could sit in the tub on her own - -and she was 17 or 18 lbs. by then.

This was a lifesaver!! We live in a condo with little storage areas, so when we are done using this we just hook it in the shower and it's dry by the time we use it the next day.

My daughter was 6# 12 oz when she was born and this worked great in our sink. She is just now starting to outgrow it at 4 1/2 mo and almost 15#, and still works great in the bathtub! We just use the detatchable shower head to wash her.

My sister had twin preemies and we were trying to bathe them (separately of course) in the traditional baby bath with the infant insert. It was not only dangerous to do so, but bulky, the plastic bottom of the bath kept slipping around. It took the both of us to give the bath and even though we were two people with one infant it was dangerous. This new bath we found at One step ahead is amazing. It cradles the preemie and makes them feel safe and secure. you can put them down on it completely, like a pillow bed, and sponge bath them all over and the water just runs through the pillow that is heavy and stable. You need to position it over a sink of some type or if your sink is big enough it may fit right in it. We use a towel folded up under the head of it so when we wash their hair or scalp the water runs through the top of the pillow and on to the towel under the head of it to catch any water that runs out under the pillow. After use we just hang the pillowbath up in the shower on the hook that is attached to it and it drips dry! The babies use to cry and hate bath time. They now coo and smile. Thank you to who ever invented this amazing, helpful, and safe item.
