      My little one loves playing and pretending to fix my hair, and her daddy's hair...heehee. She especially loved that her name was on it and that meant it was hers! I read and searched for a gift that had a hair dryer that actually "works" and it paid off.

            The fact that the dryer actually blew cool air was a big plus for more realistic and imaginative play. However, the size of the case and dryer was much smaller than expected, especially factoring price. We had difficulty finding a small enough screw driver to open/insert battery. Considering this, I'm betting parents won't want to be bothered replacing with new batteries when required.

                This was a gift from the grandparents for my 4 year old daughter. It was purchased along with the doll head so she would have accessories to use. I think you are better off purchasing brushes and barrettes that are made for kids and using them. A few of the items broke within the first 10 minutes of use. Very disappointing!

                My daughter LOVES to "give haircuts". This is a great set for pretend play - she loves it. The case is well-constructed - although the "not for children under three" sticker was hard to get off, and left "gunk" on the clear front of the case. The inner liners are very cheaply constructed - flimsy plastic, and the toys are difficult to remove. We gave up, and tossed them so that my daughter could enjoy this toy to its fullest.

                    I purchased this set for my 3 year old daughter who loves to play "haircut". The hairdryer is a big hit because with batteries it actually makes sounds and blows out a little air. The only disappointment is for the large case size, you would think a few more things should come with it. We purchased a shaving kit for our son and it came with clippers and scissors, and our daughter wants to take his all the time because she wants them too. I would say she will only end up really using the hairbrush and dryer. I would recommend not for value, but simply for the idea.
