Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

This was exactly what I was looking for. We will test it out next weekend for the first time for its intended use however we have already set it up and taken it down and it is super easy. All of the zippers and such secure in ways that make it extremely safe to use. Our 1 year old hate being trapped in the pack and play and refuses to sleep when we are travelling. This he crawls into on his own and then is more comfortable and doesn't put up a fight even when we close the zipper. We can't wait to take it with us and see if he sleeps in it the way we hope he does.

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

I purchased this product based on the reviews and despites the ones that said the quality is bad, it works great for us. I got it in November of 2011 and our baby was born in December of 2011. It fits in the baby's suitcase so I can save money when we fly; it is really light weight and portable. You don't have to be a genius to assemble it, just look at the pictures and read the directions. Once you do it two or three times you will remember how to do it next time, it is really a no-brainer. The mattress is really thin and does not have velcro to keep the sheets on place if you put it in the pocket, but with a folded blanket under a fitted crib sheet you can cover the mattress and put it in the inside of the tent to solve the problem. I took it to Venezuela, to Curazao, to the beach, to DC, Fl, GA, TN. Never had an issue with it, my baby sleeps great on it, it is low to the grown, so we used it as a tent at the beach to protect the baby from the sun during his naps, it is great for small hotel rooms also because is narrow and it fits between your side of the bed and the wall or in between two beds and that way you don't have to get up and walk or be far from your baby at all.
The few down sides I see are depending on what use you will give to it:
Being so low weight and made of aluminum bars, if you have big kids playing with it, getting in and out of it I am sure it could bend. Our baby is only 14 months old and we only use this item for traveling, so is not in danger of misused. Now, if you have plans for everyday use like a pack and play, it is not for you because it won't last.

Since is low to the grown, you have to bend down to put the baby in and out every time. We used a pillow when the baby was little so he could sleep in an inclined position and that made it easier and safer too. Being so low to the grown is a great advantage while at the beach because you unzip the side window to reach at the baby while covering the top with a towel or a blanket and you can hammer it into the sand just like a tent. It also can hold more weight and either two small babies under 12 months old or a toddler I will say up to 3 years old comfortably depending on how tall your kid is. The P&T is narrow and long.
I don't think it can go into the washer, but the material can be clean with a rag with mild soap and then rinse or better yet cleaned with a carpet steamer and then rinsed in the tub to avoid soap stains. That is how I do it.
Other than that it works great for what I bought it: Long vacation trips, travel by car, by plane, it protects the baby from the mosquitos, baby can't fall from it, it is portable, beautiful, easy and practical.

Note: I am expecting my second and plan to use it for both to sleep in the future, I will post an update in a few months.

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

Read all of the reviews and got what I expected. It is a little bit of a hassle to set up when compared to the baby bjorn, but I was looking for something light. This product is 7lbs versus the 11lb baby bjorn. With all of the other stuff that we have to take for our 20 month old when we travel, the compact size and weight were perfect.

As far as set up, once you do it a few times, it gets easier. It's also very sturdy. My LO is pretty rowdy, but it has held up fairly well.

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

We use our Phil and Ted Traveller when we camp or travel.

There are a couple of differences between this and most of the other pack n plays that we have borrowed. We love the side entry. This feature makes it do much more convenient and flexible and is the main reason we chose this one. I do wish that it had a double zipper so that I could leave the top of the side "door" open if I chose. This pack n play breaks down smaller and is lighter than other ones. However it takes a bit longer to assemble - one must clip the pieces together.

We are happy with our purchase!

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

I bought this travel system for use at our pool this summer. With two older boys and a girl under one, I was looking for something that would keep her safe in the pool area. This would definately do that with its zip top and sturdy construction. The downfall is that it takes a while to construct and I can not deconstruct the top rails so it does not go back in to the bag. Because I wanted it for quick unpack and pack up with 3 kids running around poolside, this might have not been the best choice for me.

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

I bought this so that we could bring it in our luggage when we fly. I don't trust hotel cribs and the pack and play (while checkable) counts as an additional checked bag. It fits in a suitcase easily and I pack everything else I need for my 14 month old in the same suitcase reducing the number of checked bags.
The only negative I would say is that it takes some time to put together the first few times, but then it becomes easier. If you have ever put together a tent you can put this together. The directions are super easy to follow.
I am super happy with this purchase and I wish it was available when I was registering.
I use this instead of my pack and play whenever we travel now.

      Better than Pac-n-play

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

My 18mo kept climbing out of her pac-n-play, so we were looking for a travel solution we could keep her in at nap and bedtimes while on a family vacation. This light, compact, travel crib was a definite improvement over the bulky pac-n-play. Even though "the kracken" could easily climb out of the P&T's Traveller, we loved that it has a zipper top which we could use to keep her inside or remove as needed. After the first few times, we found the P&T's Traveller very easy to contruct/deconstruct, though the instructions weren't the clearest. I highly recommend a practice run or two to become familiar with contruction/deconstruction. We hate the nylon fabric: it'sgreat at repelling/preventing stains, but it doesn't breathe and it made so much noise when she moved in her sleep that it kept waking her. Also the self-inflating mattress didn't self-inflate even though the company sent us a free replacement.
The mattress is supposed to fit into it's own sleeve beneath the constructed crib which we didn't like, because it meant the baby was sleeping directly on the loud, nylon crib fabric. We remedied this by placing a regular crib mattress pad and fitted sheet on the mattress and then placing mattress directly inside the crib rather than in it's sleeve like the manufacturer recommends.

The weight of this bed and ease of use is the best thing about it. It also is well constructed. We had it on a hard floor so had to put a cushion below it. Our son had no trouble sleeping in it, but he's pretty adaptable. I noticed it is less expensive, but seems better constructed, than similar items I saw in a store.

Comments about Regal Lager Phil & Teds Traveller Red:

We bought this product specifically to use for our trip to the National Championship game in Pasadena. We have an eighteen month old who loves her crib but not pack and play cribs. Most hotels we go to have small crib bassinets or pack and plays and we usually end up putting her in bed with us and not getting much sleep. This worked great because she was enclosed. She went right to sleep in it with no problems. It was lightweight for air travel and very easy to set up and break down. We are so excited to have this for all our travels whether road or air. We dreaded trips because of lack of sleep for us. This is an answer to our prayers!

We really like this. Our son is 21 months but still in a crib and needed to be "contained" to fall asleep. We even brought it to the beach one day and he happily took his nap in it. Wonderful for travel and so much less bulky than traditional pack n plays.

We bought this cot before taking some flights with a 9 month old and we are still using our cot 12 months later at the sitter's house. It is constructed very well. One plastic piece did break off of it the first time we used it, however, it still sets up fine. There is no chance it will collapse on the child. It is a bit of a pain to set up and break down however. We usually just keep it set up unless we are getting on a plane.
