This penguin is a cute and unique costume. I was very disappointed when I opened it and saw how big it is for my 12lb 7 week old son. I had to double check the tag to make sure it was the right size. Tag says newborn but it would probably fit a 1 year old. The wings are super cute when the baby has his arms in them flapping around but other than that, its waaaaaaaay to big for any newborn.

It's the cutest penguin costume I found for the age group but I was a little disappointed with the quality. There were a lot of loose threads that needed to be pulled out to "clean up the costume" and the fabric quality was sort of low end. The original costume I ordered came in with a faded stain on the chest, like it had gotten wet and the black had bled through to the white.[...]The second one arrived today, it has the same stain but not as dark so I guess it's fine. So overall, for [$] it's fair but nothing fantastic

This is a really cute penguin suit, but it is made of a felt-type material. It pilled a bit when I washed it (in a machine on the hand wash cycle, though it says hand wash.) Also, my daughter has a large head (around 95th percentile for her age - a few weeks past 12 months at time of wearing, in a 12 mo size) and the hood was too snug, so we had to leave it unclipped. On the good side, it was EASY to put on and she wore it for HOURS = totally comfortable. It will probably last for kiddo #2. Doesn't look overly original, though. Next year, I'll probably go with a home-made costume.

Very cute. You will want to put a onesie on under it. Also, the beak got in her face a little bit, but it was so adorable!

Our son loved the costume so much he wore it around the house the day it arrived. The hand/finger holes were a little small for my son's hands (20 months), but we had bought the 6-12M size because he's small and we didn't want anything too big or loose. The hat was way too small to fasten and probably wouldn't have fit when he was first born, but he still wore it. (The straps only came halfway down his cheek.) There's no padding in the feet and we're not sure if there's room to wear shoes.

We purchased this costume for our 6 month old daughter and even though she's smaller than 16 pounds, it fits rather well. We are thrilled with how it looks and pleased that she can wear it even here in Texas where Halloween isn't terribly cool. Only issue is the headpiece; it's a little tight and she took some time to get used to it. Still, adorable.

My Son is 10 1/2 months old and this size fits him perfectly. He fits in 9-12 month sizes so the sizing seems accurate. It is the cutest little costume. He has been walking for 4 weeks now, so he is still a little wobbly which makes him a perfect penguin. The grandparents went wild over the pics of him in this one!

Admittedly if it had fitted my 12 month old son it would be very cute. He is 31" and on the thin side, only 21 lbs, and this was too fitting to add extra layers underneath. Plus the material was much thinner than expected. The hat was way too small and would have needed a 4" length of fabric to attach together. My other problem was one of the snap buttons down the leg was faulty so wouldn't snap together. All in all quite a cute costume, but the 16-24lb size was not roomy enough to add warm layers.

I loved that the costume was light enough that my daughter can wear layers underneath, if necessary, and she is comfortable enough to play in it. Also I love how it looks on her! We've gotten tons of compliments.

We purchased the penguin costume for my son's first try at trick-or-treating. [...] and when we tried it on, it was so cute! It has enough room that he can wear other clothes underneath, and will definitely keep him warm. The only slight drawback is the hat - I'll have to add a little elastic to the strap to allow him to wear it. But I love this costume!

It said, it's for infants 16-24 pounds. My baby weighs 21 pounds, but the outfit is too small.
