Found it very expensive for what i got. My child did not like it and would not play with it. It turned out not to be a good teaching tool.

While my son loves the Once Upon a Potty book, he has absolutely no interest in the corresponding boy doll. He actually gets mad when I bring the doll out. Hopefully this will change over time but so far I wish I never bought the doll.

Comments about Child Matters Once Upon A Potty Potty Training Doll With Potty Boy:

I have b/g twins so my mom bought one of each. It's difficult to get the doll to stay on the potty. The design of the girl doll kinda makes you scratch your head and wonder what they were thinking when they designed her. The dolls are really flimsy and more of a decoration that can be played with than an actual toy. Neither one of my kids really even looked at these dolls twice but my daughter likes to set her farm animals on the potty so they can go.

I'm potty training my little boy and I felt that I needed all the props I could find to convince him using the potty. When he first saw the little boy doll he liked it but after the second day it was forgotten in a corner. Now he doesn't pay attention to it. I think the book and DVD work best

I bought the doll because I love the book and thought that it would be nice to have both. I am completely dissatisfied. The doll is so cheaply made. It looks worse than a doll you would buy in a dollar store and it doesn't even sit on the potty! It falls off. So my daughter can't even pretend she's on the potty because the doll won't stay on it. Not worth [$] at all! Buy the book. NOT the doll.

Its cute but I really do not see the point. The doll does not sit or stay on the potty chair that it comes with... and I don't know .. just seems kinda pointless maybe if the doll actually went potty then it might be more useful..??

I do not regret buying this doll, because my son really loves it and it did encourage him to use the potty. I was disappointed in the quality and wish that the shirt was easier to get on and off.

Comments about Child Matters Once Upon A Potty Potty Training Doll With Potty Boy:

This looks really cute on the website. And I should have realized when it was pictured with the book, although I thought the book was larger and therefore it would have meant the doll was larger. The concept is really cute and at first my daughter 22 months was intrigued. However, it is much smaller than the typical dolls that most 2 years play with at this stage and the hair is already worn and messy (made of yarn) and she only carried it around for 1 day. Perhaps if it were less expensive or at least a couple of inches larger it would be worth it -- although if it were less expensive I probably still would not rec'd for potty training little ones on the younger end of the spectrum.

We love this doll. It reignited my daughter's interest in using the potty. The only drawback is that Prudence didn't come with underwear. When I asked my daughter if she would wear big girl underwear, she said, "No, I want to wear diapers like Prudence."!!! If I could sew, I'd make my own!

This just arrived, it's very cheaply made and comes from China [...]. The doll is supposed to be "poseable" so you can bend the arms and legs, but it isn't easy to do and even when you bend the legs, it won't sit on the potty unless you hold it or lean it against something. It's almost like it's too top heavy. We'll see if my daughter likes it, I really hope it helps...
