      My 11 year old son was given this as a baby gift. I thought it way too old for him at the time..but since then he has had so much fun with it. Its been great for my husband as well, as he is into music and the toy has become something they do together. I have given this as a baby gift ever since...In fact, just bought one for my son's piano instructor!

          We bought these music blocks for our 2 1/2 year old, and they are great. I love that there are three settings - classical, jazz, and african. The adults in the house have had as much fun with it as the 2 1/2 year old. The toy is complex enough that we're still exploring it. Love that.My only gripe is that there isn't a volume button. Otherwise - it's a fantastic toy.

            My grandson had one of these that you had to put the cartridge in. This one makes it easier to use and don't have to worry about misplacing the cartridge.

              Bought this toy for a special needs nephew who is currently 5 years old and is epileptic along with having cerebral palsy. His therapy teacher has a very similar toy to help with cognitive development. It is an excellent toy and so far my nephew is able to understand the concept. The only reason why I give this toy 4 stars is because the block corners are hard...I wish there was some way the same concept could be developed with softer edges as another kid has already been nailed in the head with one of the blocks when thrown. And I know the blocks are not meant to be thrown, but lets face it...kids don't always follow the "rules" of toys.
