Finally a way to keep my twins out of the dishwasher!!!

As a nurse and mom of 7 (including 3 step children) all 9 and under, I have used many products from OneStepAhead. I have always been very pleased. However, I put these guards on yesterday and today, one is broken where the piece slides into the latch and the adhesive on the other latch will not stay on. I am hoping to contact them for replacements or refund. I really need something to keep my Houdini out of the dishwasher.

Easy to install, easy to use and my twins can't get into the dishwasher any more!!! I bought a different one and wish I would have had these instead.

As described. Our top freezer door on our garage refrigerator tends to have a mind of it's own....just opens up....this latch was perfect...no more surprises.

I got this after my son dumped an entire gallon of orange juice on the floor. However, after seeing me operate once or twice, he can easily unlatch it himself. It's better than others I tried because it will actually stay affixed to the appliance. But definitely for a younger toddler. Mine is just over 3.

My twins (24 months old) figured this out within one minute. Also, be careful using the oven with this. Twice the rubber piece went inside the oven when I was putting things inside & the first time I noticed it within seconds. The 2nd time it was minutes before I noticed it was inside the oven & it melted/warped the plastic. It was useless anyway so I removed the whole thing. This isn't the first "safety" product that has been worthless. It really irritates me. Do these manufacturers even test their products on real life toddlers?? There is no way. Otherwise this & about 75% of other products sold wouldn't be on the shelves.
Ok, I'm done with my rant. Save yourself time and $ and do not buy this.

My son is 22 months old and mastered opening this latch with no problem. He learned to do it on his own with no visual aids from watching mom and dad do it. It is not impossible for my tot, but difficult for some adults. The adhesive is not strong enough to prevent an adult from just yanking it open.

We bought 2 of these. We use one on our refrigerator door and the other on our upright deep freezer door. The product is easy to install. Be sure to follow the instructions about cleaning the mounting spot with alcohol and waiting 24 hours after installing to use. With twin boys who master everything very quickly, I am impressed by this product. We were able to mount the latches out of their reach and they are very easy for an adult to open. They have saved dozens of food items being destroyed. The boys have double teamed the doors trying to outweight the latches with no success so they are very durable. I can honestly say there is nothing I do not like about this product for the uses I need them for.

This item is bulky and doesn't stay one. The sticky adhesive isn't strong enough!

Horrible design. My 17th mo old figured out how to open this right away. If your child has the strength to open the dishwasher, they have the strength to open this.

Took my two year old all of 30 seconds to figure out how it worked to open. I'm really surprised this item is even on this website! I came here to find something better and effective. Wrong :( If I could give it ZERO stars I would have. This maybe ok if you have a child not even capable of opening the frige to begin with.

It was a constant struggle to keep my 16 month out of the dishwasher. This is exactly what I needed. Easy to install and has withstood lots of wear and tear.

Friends have had luck with these so I ordered one for our oven drawer. The adhesive didn't stick so I ended up throwing it away.
