Solved our problems

About Me Parent of Two or More Children
Comments about Parent Units Multi Guard:
Although this did solve our problems, I shoudl have measured our DVD player. I did make it work and coverd the necessary buttons. Another thing to think of is that its not great for DVD players, as we have to move the shield everytime we open the DVD tray. I am making it work and think it will save us the trouble of a broken DVD player anyhow!

About Me Parent of Two or More Children, Stay at home mom
This item is awesome. We installed it in the evening after the children were in bed. This allowed time for the Velcro to really adhere and we didn't have any curious eyes watching. It works wonders..... My one year old can't figure out why he is unable to push the buttons on the DVD player and the TV's cable box anymore.

My son was turning the tv on and off just for the fun of it and I was getting way to aggravated but this has helped a lot!

Junk

I bought 2 of these. One for the tv and one for the dvd. They worked fine, until my child broke them. He was able to reach behind them and then pulled until it broke in 2 pieces. I placed them as close as possible to the tv, but they flex a little and he was able to get his hands behind them. They were a waste of money for us.
Worked Well

We had secured our TV to the TV stand, but this was thin enough to still slide under the front of the TV and keep our toddler from playing with the buttons. Plan to order more for other TVs, DVDs, Cable boxes.
Curses! Foiled again!
By Buzz Bear

Drawn like a moth to the flame, my son would home in on the cable box and sound system receiver. Now his attempts at drool-assessing the equipment has been temporarily thwarted. Once he figures how to squeeze his hands over the tops, is another story but for now, the equipment is safe, and so is my son.
Great product no more "nos"

About Me Grandparent, Medical Professional
I use this to keep my granddaughter, 12 mos.,from even going near the t.v. Before we were constantly telling her "no" and redirecting her interest away from it, which didn't last long and I hate to keep admonishing a 12 mos old. Now she plays elsewhere and never even tries as it's no fun to see the tv channels change when she pushes the buttons!
Works well with our TV

We are using this to prevent our 1 year old from playing with the buttons on our TV. Next to no installation required and works like a charm!

My 1 year old snapped it right in half. Only had it there for about a month. He grabbed the top and pulled and before I could get to him it snapped.

Not very effectiv
By N/A

This is a great idea in theory, but in reality, my toddler can still get behind the guard to push the buttons. It is made of cheap, thin plastic and definitely over priced for the product. I wouldn't buy this item again nor recommend it to others.
Works great if...............
By Lilly's Mom

It works great if you can manipulate it so the guard is not pressed up against the buttons on your DVR or DVD player. If the the guard is pressed flush against the buttons, it is useless. We doubled the velcro that came along with the multi guard and now our toddler cannot turn it on and off or change the channel. This will also help for the future, when toddlers figure out that they can open the DVD player slot.
Works well

This was perfect for the Directv box and I also bought it for the stereo. It does it's job but overpriced for a piece plastic.
A Better Guard
By limabean

This VCR guard works much better than the TV guards. The description didn't say that it attaches with velcro, so when we unpacked it, I was disappointed. But so far our toddler hasn't been able to figure it out or get around it. Unlike the TV guards, it stays where it's supposed to. I like it so much, I'm buying some for the grandparents houses too!
