I had bought 2, one already didn't work. I had it replaced & within a week it wasn't working either. The light timing doesn't last as long as it said it should.

My 2 and 4 year old daughters love these. We have the original tyke lite glomate that had batteries and I was so glad to see the plug in version! My girls fall asleep with them on and we were going through batteries every few days because they would click the button past the auto shut off. So I was very happy with the rechargeable version. They love to change the colors and choose different colors to fall asleep with each night.

Ordered GloMate for Christmas and it did not work out of the box. Return/exchange was free and quick. HOWEVER second GloMate sent also did not work! This is not a case of user error as I own another GloMate that I bought for my daughter three years ago and that one is still working. Maybe something has chafed with the manufacturing of this nightlight over these years.

Ordered one for each of my kids. One arrived defective, and then it's replacement also arrived defective. While I was waiting for the replacement, my 3 year old daughter was using her light. Because the battery only lasts about 10 hours, she would wake up screaming at 5 am because she was in the dark. Not fun!! I ended up returning all of them.

This is the second GloMate I have purchased in the last month and I cannot get either of them to charge.

Bought a Glowmate 3 years ago and still works great. Purchased a second one in Dec 2012 for second child and did not work right out of the package. OneStepAhead customer service has been apologetic and helpful in processing the exchange now let's just hope the replacement works! Otherwise my kids love the Glowmate. My suggestion is to purchase well in advance of when you plan to give it to your kid and test it right away in case you need to exchange it you will have time and avoid the kids disappoitment.

Where is the quality control at One Step? This glo mate does not work! It appeared from the packaging that I was not the first customer to open the package , so I expect it was returned previously and then set out on another order. I will ask One Step for return shipping and see what happens!
Very disappointing as this was a gift for my grandson .

This is the greatest night light ever, people say its bright and it is but you should only use the red light when they sleep anyways. I read that it is the best night light color because it doesn't interfere with their sleep but yet they can see if they need to but wont completely wake them up because its not bright. If you wait for it to lose its charge then charge it, then the battery will last, but if you constantly put it on the charger with out it loosing all it's charge then your battery won't keep it's charge after a while and eventually not work. It's just like a cell phone. I recommend this product, my 2 year old loves it!

This was a great update. Softer then the 1st one we got for our 3 year old and will get a second one for our 3 month old. The plus model didn't work except if you kept in on the base. Our son loves it at night and it's great for travel. Doesn't wake him when we use it to check on him.

My soon to be 3 year old started waking up scared in his room and I bought this in hopes it would help. I leave it on the charger and it stays lit all night, producing a nice glow. Both my sons love it and it was definitley worth the extra money since all the other glow stuff turns off after a certain amount of time. I have yet to find any faults with this product.

I use this to keep my 2 year old company when he goes into his crib. It's so bright that it hurts his eyes when he looks at it. I have to put it on under the blanket and sneak in to turn it off once he is asleep. Other than the brightness it is a brilliant product and it really helps to ease the transition to sleep.

My son started out with this, now 5 and still uses it every night, my 3 year old now started. This is an amazing tool for kids that want more than a nightlight or have problems sleeping. It has a 15 minute timer, so it goes off after falling asleep. It also has a button on the bottom so that if they wake up they can turn it on, carry it to the bathroom. Best night time aide for small kids.

We've gone through 3 or 4 of these. I love the concept and my kids love it, but they don't handle kids very well. Once drop on the floor and you lose a color. One of ours wouldn't charge, the other 2 just stopped working. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat if they improved the design.

Both of my children love it, however it does not last very long. Eventually it will stop charging. I love everything about it except that I don't feel that I got my money's worth in usage. After the first one died, we contacted the company and they sent us an updated model. It died within a year.

great product. Only bad thing is green stopped working less than a week of purchase. The box was thrown away so we have it and my kids still love it very much, never goes to sleep without it, it's great to carry around as well. I wish it worked better though. My kids push the buttons fast through all the cycles and one day the green never turned on again so it's not very durable. No other complaints.
