I loved this costume. It is true to size, well made, a little heavier than other costumes. we will have to try it another year my son was not wild about the head piece, but we loved it on him!!

My son wore this for his first Halloween when he was 5 months old. He only weighed 17lbs and it fit him perfectly. It was a little big but I expected that. It left plenty of room for me to layer warmer clothes under the costume. It's cold in PA!

I absolutely love the costume, it is adorable and got many compliments. However, after trying it on once at home with no issues, I was disappointed on the day that really mattered (Halloween!) when the zipper broke. While there is a tiny square of velcro at the neck in the back, my child's whole back was exposed. Not great for photos, or a blustery CT Halloween! Hopefully I can find someone to fix the zipper.

This is literally the cutest costume ever. It's warm, easy to put on and super soft! My son loved it! It runs a little big though. Having read that in other reviews, I bought my 17 month old 26 pound boy the smallest size and it fit great!

My mother-in-law ordered this costume for my son to be the Cowardly Lion to my daughter's Dorothy. While I agree with disappointed mama and others that the fur was more clumpy than smooth (like the picture), that didn't bother me so much. Our problem was that the body and paw booties were WAY too big on our son, while the head/mane was WAY too small. He was swimming in the bodysuit, and the paws were useless because they just fell off. The mane, however, was so small that it didn't even come close to clasping around his face. Still, he wore it, we just didn't clasp the mane. Even with the sizing issues, everyone was completely taken with him. I admit he still looked quite adorable. See picture.

The mane of this costume is not at all what is pictured. It is clumpy and not smooth at all. It looks cheap and not worth what I paid for it. I had to come up with a last minute costume since I was so unhappy with it.

Before buying this costume, I read Disappointed Mama's review and hoped that the costume she received had just been a lone example of poor quality since all of the other reviews raved about the costume. But, unfortunately, it seems like that's actually what the costume is. I agree with Disappointed Mama and now Barkley - the material is very poor quality and rough. The mane looks like a gnarly fake fleece blanket that had been used for 20 years. And it has a strong chemical odor. I'm disappointed that the actual costume isn't the cute one pictured and that now Halloween is less than a week away and my little guy still doesn't have a costume.

Like the other reviewer stated, the costume is not what is pictured. The mane is very clumpy and not smooth like in the picture. Disappointed but it will have to do.

Unfortunately, the material on the lion costume is not at all what it looks like on the website or in the catalog. It displays as very soft and plush material and when it actually arrived, it was not that material at all. It is rough and nothing like what was advertised. I am so bummed because it looks so cute in the picture.

I am very disappointed in the quality of this costume. I was sent a cheap knock-off of the pretty costume that is pictured. In the picture, the mane and fur on the paws, tail, etc is sleek and shiny and smooth...what I was sent was lumpy, oatmeal-textured, clumpy furred costume that has the same shape and look of the featured costume, but obviously isn't the same quality. The ribbon is also very wimpy and small on the tail. Not at all like pictured. This costume isn't worth even half of what it cost me to buy (almost $50!!) I'd say at best it's worth $10. Very disappointed.

We purchased this for our baby's first Halloween, and it was a hit! He won the cutest Halloween baby contest on a cruise ship! I must say however, that it is heavy weight - I imagine great for those in cooler climates, but could be a problem indoors. Also, the Velcro that keeps the head portion Maine on, isn't wide enough, so the electro never stayed on and his Maine kept falling off. Runs a bit small IMO. I would still get it again in a heartbeat!

This costume was a bit pricey (more than I wanted to spend), but it was worth it! It was very durable and the cutest costume ever!!! The shoes/paws were not meant for outdoor walking, but I let my 15 month old walk in them with grippy shoes underneath. Everyone thought he was the cutest lion, and I have great pictures and memories. It fit great, too. My 3 year old daughter likes to wear the head part for play.

This was my son's first costume for his first Halloween. It was absolutely adorable on my little guy! He didn't mind wearing it at all! It is very heavy and he did get warm indoors, however.
