Learning Hands ASL Flash Cards

Item #: 13649

Learning sign language is a skill your child will use forever — and besides, it's fun! These are the original picture-based flashcards that teach American Sign Language (the third most frequently used language in the U.S.!). That means that kids who haven't yet learned how to read yet can still learn ASL. One side of the card displays the word; the other shows how to sign it. Best of all, you learn together! 25 cards per set. Food Fun includes kid-friendly words like "hot dog," "peanut butter and jelly," and "juice,"; Let's Go features commonly-used words like "swim," "walk," "jump" and "learn." For all ages.

Comments about Sign Babies Learning Hands Asl Flash Cards Food Fun:

I have a friend that fosters a deaf child and our kids play together. I thought this would be a good way for the kids to gain more signing vocabulary but it was pretty hard to keep their attention with these cards. When they were infants, they really liked their baby signing books much better than these flash cards and I've found better products to teach them ASL now that their older (nearly 4 now).

Baby Sign was invaluable when my twins were in their preverbal phase and I believe every parent should try some form of sign with their preverbal children to help keep sanity in their house.

Comments about Sign Babies Learning Hands Asl Flash Cards Food Fun:

I bought this entire set of flash cards for my 8 month old son. Teaching him sign language is something that my husband and I do to help eliminate fits and allow us to communicate with our son. He can tell us when he hungry and if he wants a bottle. His first sign was 'More', and we are so excited for him to sign more. I think these cards are just what any parent needs if they are looking for a way to talk to their hearing child when grunts just aren't enough.
