Comments about The First Years Learning Curve True Fit Rebound Convertible Car Seat BROWN:

This is the second seat of this exact type that I have ordered. The first one I had had for about 3 years and had to dispose of after having a wreck. Luckely my child was not with me when this happened, but I was advised by my insurance company that a wreck weakens them and that they need to be replaced. I loved the last one so much that I decided to order another one. They do NOT come in attractive styes or colors, but are very sturdy. Some may complain they are heavy. I agree, but I want my daughter to be in a heavy duty seat and that is one of the main reasons I chose this one. Also many seats out there say they can hold a child up to 65lbs, but what about the height. My daughter is at 35 now and her head is at or above most of the other seats out there. This one is extra tall and will support her head and neck at not just a heavier weight but also a taller height. One complaint about this particular color/pattern. It says it's brown and tan. Not the case. The "rails and stripes" design that I recieved is more black and grey. I also agree it's a pricey seat, but really, can you put a price on your childs life? Didn't think so. LOVE THIS SEAT AND WOULD HIGHLT RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS!!!

Comments about The First Years Learning Curve True Fit Rebound Convertible Car Seat BROWN:

I chose the True Fit Premier Rebound after careful research of the NHSTA Ease of Use ratings. I am not disappointed. It gives my seven month old son a more comfortable ride than the infant car seat we used. The color, Retro Rails Brown is not drab, just neutral brown and black. I used the shoulder/lap belt installation in a 1997 Ford Explorer and the shoulder belt ratchets and locks. It pulls up on the seat, causing me to have to adjust the angle often. I'm a petite woman, and the initial installation required a lot of strength to get it secure enough. I had a local state trooper inspect it and tighten it for me to get it just right. That is not a complaint because I had no trouble understanding the instructions and following them, I just needed an extra set of hands to help me because of the way the SUV shoulder seatbelt ratchets and locks. I appreciate the prompt delivery of the product, that it arrived in 2 days with standard delivery, and the packaging was clean and intact. Thanks One Step Ahead for top-notch service. I would purchase again for a second vehicle.

NEVER wash car seat straps

This is in response to the reviewer above. You should NEVER wash harness straps. They usually have a protective coating to strengthen them. If it's washed off, it weakens the straps.

Comments about The First Years Learning Curve True Fit Rebound Convertible Car Seat BROWN:

I LOVE THIS CARSEAT!! We have a black one and it shows ALL the milk spots from our darling son, BUT it snaps off, while the seat is still buckled washes really well and dries super quick. I've washed it like ten times and it still looks new. Its soo sturdy and it sits high so my little man can see out the window. The one drawback is the straps can't be taken out for washing and there are a ton of creavices to vacuum but otherwise GREAT, SAFE product.
