Amazing! We gave the Knot Genie™ to three little girls who used to flee at the sight of a hairbrush, and now they're happy to brush their hair, even right after shampooing. The detangling brush's secret: soft, flexible bristles of varying lengths slide through the hair, untangling snarls. Won't even pull unruly hair! And because the bristles bend, they prevent hair breakage. For all ages, including adults. See Product Details

Comments about Knot Genie Detangling Brush:
I hesitated on buying this brush, but am SO glad I did. My daughter has long, very fine hair. She would always scream and/or run away when I would attempt to brush it. This brush has changed everything. I can easily brush through her hair, wet or dry. I even bought a second one to keep downstairs.

We've had to cut knots out of my sensitive daughter's hair because she would not allow me to brush her hair - for a week at a time. This brush does the trick and we've been brushing hair almost every day with it...I've used it on my easily tangled hair as well with amazing results...no more split ends! It is kind of scratchy (she's complained about that) so if you have a sensitive scalp it may be an issue. And it is large and bulky so it's hard for her to use on her own...it sometimes flies out of my own hand. But it does do what it says and I'm buying another one. Not sure it should be priced so high - with the shipping it's almost double the price, which is insane. But no more tantrums in the morning so probably worth it?

About Me Grandparent
When I first looked at it I didn't think it was going to work. I tried it on my grandsons curly hair and he now likes it when we brush his hair. The brush goes thru his curly tangled hair very smoothly.
Works okay

This hairbrush has worked pretty well on my 4 year old daughter's hair. It does seem to do pretty well at getting tangles out. The one downside I would say is that the bristles seem kind of hard and that has seemed to bother/hurt her while I am trying to do her hair. I would recommend this brush, but suggest brushing very gently with it.
AMAZING!!!!!!

I am not sure how this thing exactly works, but it does. My daughter has very thick hair, and cryed every time I brushed her hair. She has not cryed one time since I have been using the Knot Genie, and it's been a few weeks. I wish this was out when I was a kid, it would have avoided lots of tears!!!
LOVE it!!

The brush was just like any other plastic bristled hairbrush. Did not seem to help any with the tangles. Could have bought one alot cheaper at a retail store
Not what I was expecting

My 2 year old did not like this hairbrush. I got it hoping that it would make my work easier when hair brushing my daughter's hair but she is still complaining. I think the bristles are to hard and pointy on her scalp.

It works just like it says.

My daughter has long straight heavy hair. She used to not like me combing her hair because it would hurt when I tried to brush the tangles out near the ends. With the Knot Genie, combing her has turned out to be a pleasant experience for both of us. My son has very wave/curly hair. He is just 1 year old. The Knot Genie glides through his hair as easy as it glides through my daughter's hair. So i bought 2 Knot Genies- one for my daughter and one for my son. You will not be disappointed.

The Knot Genie is a Godsend! No more tears from my Granddaughters! It slides right through the knots and the youngest can even comb her own hair now. I have bought 3 so far, so every household owns one.
Was Surprised

My grand daughter has very curly hair and it is tangled all the time. It is very hard to brush her hair because it hurts, even if you use tangle free spray. I used this the first night and it seemed to work with out a lot of pulls. She sat calmly and let me brush, then she tried it and she was fine with it. Nice to not hear "stop that hurts" or "please don't brush my hair" instead she wanted to do it herself.

Not magical...but helpful!

My daughter & I are both very "tender headed." I have struggled w/ this issue for 29 years, so I am at least somewhat sympathetic to my daughters look of terror when it is time to brush her hair. I must say before the knot genie she would literally cry with tears running down her face prior to even picking a brush up. Using the knot genie has been helpful though it is not perfect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a tender-headed child. There are still times my daughter screams out but there is honestly RARELY a real tear from her since we started using this product. It has separated in my hand once before (the black part with the plastic bristles separated from the blue upper portion)& we have only been using it since Christmas which does not give me great hope of durability. Also, since I personally use this product daily I can say that the bristles are pointy & can hurt if you have a senstive scalp, thankfully that isn't a problem we have. It is also bulky in your hand so it is difficult to hold when you get into tangles (and BOY DO WE GET INTO SOME TANGLES, so it flies across the room at least once every couple days or so.) My husband & I both feel that this product is worth the purchase price & is more helpful than the 8 previous brush types we have tried with our oldest daughter.
Not so great

I have three daughters, 10, 4 and 2. My oldest has long straight hair, my middle has long curly hair and my youngest has shorter very curly hair. I was hoping for a miracle. This brush still pulls, they still cry and it's difficult to hold onto due to the shape. Personally, I have found a boar bristle brush to work the best. It takes longer to get out the tangles but at least they don't scream. I was really hoping this brush would do as claimed but it just didn't cut it. Sorry.
