      This is a smaller bookcase, perfect for my 23 month old. He is able to see and get to all of his books. My only criticism is that the "pockets' or slings could be deeper. Some of the books don't sit back, but lean forward so the front of the book isn't visible. Other than that is a great bookcase, especially for the price.

        I've seen these sling bookshelves on other websites and they were a lot more expensive. I expected this one to be of lesser quality, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is sturdy and very well made. I plan to purchase another for my grandson.

          I have been looking all over for a sling book shelf for my daughters room. The quality of the espresso bookcase is great. The edges are smooth, it looks like wood and matches her room perfectly. Assembly was very easy.

              The size is perfect for the reading nook in our play room. Both of my children (ages 5 and 2) use it. It looks great, keeps the books in easy reach, and holds about 25 books of various sizes. Great quality and great value! My only suggestion is to lay out the screws and be sure you are using the correct screws on the correct side when assembling. I had to take apart and re-do twice! Construction isn't my forte, though. Would recommend to anyone!

                We love this bookshelf! I'm so glad that I ignored negative reviews and purchased it anyways. It's the perfect height for my toddler and holds a TON if books! If I had to guess I would say she has ten board books, seven paperback and seven hardcover books in it. She loves that she can see all of the book fronts. One review said the books fall forward and push other books out. I haven't had this happen at all. I have had a level tip forward but not enough to push any other books out. That can be fixed by adjusting the canvas a little to the correct angle. It has never been an inconvenience though! I would recommend this shelf to anyone with a toddler...the only disappointment is that the personalization is an iron on. I thought it was going to be embroidered.
