The table and chairs we bought are wonderful, and such a great addition to our home for when our 2 1/2 yr. old granddaughter visits. She used it a great deal during her visit over Thanksgiving. It's so easy to set up and take down, and takes up minimal space when folded. I wish I knew, though, that the table top is not real wood. We will be able to use this set for many years as we have two new grandchildren born this year.

Brought it to use when my grand daughters are visiting (2 yrs old and 8 mos old). The two old loved it. She ate meals on it and we did arts and crafts on it. Would have loved if the table top was a primary color. Chairs really sturdy, though the table is OK, would have loved if it was a bit sturdier. Love that it's foldable, so it can be put away, when not in use.

I bought the table and chairs for Thanksgiving. It worked out perfectly. It is well made and sturdy. The fact that you can fold them and put them away is just another plus.

I wanted a table/chairs for grandchildren for Thanksgiving. When the first table arrived, the edges were split on 2 sides, and corners did not meet. I was going to keep it, but my comments in an email resulted in an immediate phone call and receipt of a replacement table within 1 week. The new table is in perfect condition, and one 2 year-old-grandson has already used the table and chairs. He loves it. Very happy with the customer service.

This table seems very sturdy and sets up in a second. Although some have complained that the legs do not lock in the closed position, the box can easily be saved to store the table when not in use, so the "loose" legs when folded is a non-issue. My complaint is with the laminated table top. Although I just purchased this, I can easily see that the top will wear out. It's not "real wood" like the rest of the table or the matching chairs. I would have paid a bit more if the top were wood, and don't understand the reason for this design. Given the raised edges, if a child spills anything on this tabletop, I imagine it would collect and seep under the laminate, destabilizing it and ultimately causing it to come off and/or buckle (as other reviews have suggested). The tabletop "should" either be real wood and/or there shouldn't be a raised edge that makes it impossible to clean in the corners or absorb a spill that collects in the edge. I'd like to use a plastic tablecloth on it to protect the laminate, but the edge is an issue there, too.

I purchased the table to go with the two chairs that were displayed with it, for my 2 year old granddaughter. She absolutely loves it! Once she goes home, I can fold it up and put it out of mind. A win-win purchase!

Bought the set for my home when my grandkids visit. I don't have the space for a permament youth table and chairs, and this fit the bill perfectly. Very well made and safe. Locks when opened and easy enough for adults to fold. My 2-1/2 year old grandson loves having his own place to sit for both eating and playing at. He also loves the bright colors of the seats which are primary colors so easy for little ones to identify and name. To protect the table top from any scratching, etc., I purchased some heavy gauge vinyl in yellow (another primary color) and clear and cut both to fit inside the rimmed table top frame. This way, I can wipe the entire top when ready to fold and put away, and know that the entire top is protected from scratching, paints, crayons, markers, etc. I intend for this table and chair set to last a lifetime so it can be passed down to future generations. The seats are well made and will be very easy to recover if the time ever arises. Overall, love this set. Very sturdy, safe for little ones, folds compactly, locking hinges on both table and chairs, and decorative enough to leave out. I hated those bulky plastic sets. Highly recommend.

We had been looking for a table for our 2 year old for crafts, snacks etc. This table is perfect - it can be folded, chairs too, when not in use but it is always in use! We move it around the house as needed and older kids 10-12 have visited and have sit down and played games etc comfortably. Glad we picked it because we had been undecided - another good find on onestepahead.com.

The table and chair set work great for puzzles, tea parties, and as a separate table for meals for the little ones. The furniture is strong and well made. They just need scratch pads on the bottom of their legs.
