It is perfect for what it is meant to be. It is a place to sit, like any glider and kids can climb on without causing someone else to fall because of it's minimal motion. It is not marked to represent anything and therefore allows kids to use their imagination. For those that want to recapture their childhood experience on an adult glider ... you need to get an adult glider.

This little glider is PERFECT. It is true that the gliding motion is minimal, but I did not want an amusement park ride! This glider rocks just enough to not be a stationary seat, but not enough to make me worry at all about anyone tipping it over, going too fast or getting their fingers pinched or hurt in anyway. Totally worry-free, which is not the case for most big rocking toys. I bought it as a shady seating place that the kids would be drawn to and that is exactly what it is. The canopy is removable, so it is versatile. And while not exactly portable, I can pick it up all by myself and move it all around the yard. It is very colorful, fun and relaxing for the kids. They sit there and chat, relax, get shade, eat their popsicles, pretend to be on a bus, and all sorts of other fun stuff. It is frequently home base during games of tag, so they can rest. I love it. Best money I've spent in a long time!

I bought this for a two year old, and even he did not think the movement was enough to keep his attention. It hardly rocked back and forth at all. I would have sent it back except for all the time it took to put it together. Do not waste your money on this.

The price grabs you, it is a large toy for the [$] it costs. But it does not glide very far (5 to 6 inches) so it is rather a shake than glide. Just bought it for daycare kids, so we'll see how long it lasts or keeps their attention.

I put this together myself, without my husband! and it went fine. The kids love it and although it doesn't rock back in forth like a carnival ride I feel it gives them sufficient movement and a great place to go and hang out.

I bought this for our daycare because it was a great price. When we got it, it was the biggest pain to put together. The canopy doesn't stay on well when it is windy. Worst thing is it doesn't glide very far at all. Maybe 7 inches back and forth. Thankfully kids have great imiginations so they pretend it is a bus or train. I do not recommend this product!

I am purchasing our second glider. The children love this product even though it does not "glide" very big. Our 2and 3 year old children can freely climb up and down without fear of injury. One glider is not enough! So I am purchasing a second. The only down side is that whenever the wind blew to hard I had to attatch the canopy again! But not much can stand up to tri-city wind lol !

My husband said this was not hard to assemble but be sure to have a mallet with a rubber head. This way you do not damage the glider. Our little granddaughter can get in and out without help (she is two) and she is enjoying the glider. It does not swing high so she is safe and if she does take a tumble, it will not hurt too bad.

We ordered this Glider for the playground of our small Day School. We have about 40 kids from ages 18 months - 5 years. All of them love it and don't want to take turns! Our expectations were completely met, even after reading some of the negative comments regarding this product.
