The most sanitary toilet lid lock. This one outperforms the others by far. Completely sanitary, because it automatically resets each time the lid is lowered. Unlike others, there's no need to touch the toilet! Attaches without adhesives, and fits nearly all standard toilets, including those with padded and fabric-covered seats. Height adjustable swing arm.

Exactly what I needed!

Comments about KidCo Toilet Lid Lock:
These are great. They were easy to install (I agree with another reviewer - 5 mins tops, including cleaning/wiping down the toilet). I have them on all of our toilets in the house, and the toilets are not all the same type/brand - therefore they do fit on numerous different toilets. They do exactly what they need to - keep my toddler out! He still tries to open the lid, but can't get his little hand in. Success!

Friends w/ twins recommended this lock, and we think it's fantastic. Unlike other locks that stick on with tape -- and slip off or are pulled off just as easily -- this one will stay put. Very sturdy. Easy for adults, even with some arthritis (can use wood dowl to push button), but not so easy for little ones. Even fit (more or less) our longer-than-usual toilet seat.Wish it were glow-in-the-dark (why aren't more home-safety products g.i.t.d?), but we painted some on ourselves. Also, Grandma forgot how to use it and in rush to open toilet seat when potty-training started, she succeeded in breaking the arm off (through thick plastic!)and once inner springs fell out, we could not figure out how to re-assemble it. Last, it can pitch the seat down toward floor a little, placing strain on seat attachment tabs. But none of these negatiuves outweigh the positives. It's one of our favorites.

no more potty splashing!

About Me Parent of Two or More Children
Splash, splash...that is the sound that I kept hearing in our bathroom when my toddler was roaming free. The devise has stopped the "fishing" in the potty perfectly. I also have a three year old and five year old who are able to remove the locked arm on their own. When installing, I did have to get longer screws to secure the lid back onto the toilet, but they were cheap and easy to find at the home improvement store. I am not much of a "handy" person, but was able to install this quite easily by myself. The adjustable arm allowed us to find exactly the right tension for the lock on the lid. GREAT design, in my opinion. I recommend it!
Love it, we have two!

The only toilet lid lock that works AND is intuitive to open for adults!
Perfect for a curious young toddler!

I love this lock; it was very easy to install (about five minutes - including wiping down the toilet!)and no problem at all to unlock to open the lid. My toilet-loving, too-curious 14-month-old lolsesinterest now after trying unsuccessfully to open the lid. I no lopnger have to worry about him getting into the water or, heaven forbid, any danger to him...definitely recommend for any bathroom in the home!!

Easy to operate

We use this product on all of our toilets. With a press of a button and swinging the handle back, the lid opens. When finished, it does swing back everytime once the lid is shut. Easy to use, but doesn't keep it shut tight, so little ones can still get fingers between. It does prevent them from playing in the water or putting a whole roll of TP in the toilet. My other children, ages 5, 7 & 8 can operate it as well, which is important.
DIDN'T FIT
By Jules' mom

I was running out of ideas on what to use for a toilet lock. I bought this one, hopeing my search was over. Although this product was so ugly, I had to try it. When it came I didn't realize how big and bulky it was. My husband tried to install it and it didn't fit between the toilet and the seat. Had to return it.. Lock #4 is being tested now at home but that one is going to wind up in the garbage soon. Looks like the best method is just trying to keep my 15 month old out of the bathroom.
doesn't fit all toilets

hard to install and didn't fit my toilets. I gave it two stars because it would've been great...had it been easier to install and actually fit.
Toilet lock works well
By OSUBRYAN
from Marion, OH
This lock was very easy to install and works very well. my son was throwing toilet paper in the toilet and flushing it aprox. 10 times a night. He is strong enough to lift the lid while it is "locked", but he has only done so a couple of times since I have installed the lock. This makes it a lot less fun to play with the toilet. I would recommend this toilet lock to other people
LOVE this toilet lock
By English Prof

This toilet lock lid is great. All you do is push the button to open the lid, and then you don't have to touch it again. It automatically closes which is so nice. Since this is the first lid lock we've purchased, I can't compare it to anything else, but I don't know how well others would do compared to this one. We will be purchasing more of these once our baby is walking.
Keeps Baby out lets 3 yo in
By micdpowers

This was fairly easy to install and keeps my 14 mo son from dipping his hands in the toilet. Thankfully, my 3 yo daughter is easily able to move it out of the way and use the toilet. Working great for us.

we have both the lid lock and this product, this one is far superior. My 14 month old can get into the lid lock easily and has no idea how to operate this one. That being said my 3 and 5 year olds can easily use this product.
okay

It worked for awhile, but we have a VERY strong, VERY active son. He is 23 mos. old & for the past month or so he can push up very hard on the toilet lid & overthrow the entire toilet lid lock. In our case, the lock only serves to slow him down. It does a fantastic job of keeping grandpa & grandma out of the toilet tho'! I would still recommend this as our son is much stronger & more active than most of my friends' kids.
Perfect for older/younger kids
By Mommy of two

This is perfect, I was searching for a toilet lid lock that my 4 year old could open but my 15 month old could not - after 3 previous purchases I finally found what I was looking for! (my 4 year old had a couple accidents trying to get them opened and some adults had problems with the previous locks too) You need two hands to open the toilet lid but it is not a difficult lock, just push the button and slide the lever back and lift the toilet lid. The best best best lock - and since you attach it under the toilet seat screws it is very secure.

Not strong enought
By Kris
from Galloway, Ohio
This was good for about a week. That was until my 18 month old decided he really wanted in the toilet. He lifted the toilet seat up and with out any problem snapped the arm of the toilet lid lock snapped in half.
