i have had other one and if you don't realize the hook is attached you pull and break it...this one i love. when grandchildren are not here i turn it to unlock it...and then turn it back on when they are here....great invention....thank so much...wuld definetely rec. to anyone

Installed this product on the cabinets under the kitchen sink to keep the garbage can safe from busy little explorer (and cats). Installation involved drilling holes for the screws, but was not too difficult.
Unfortunately our cabinets have some decorative molding on top, that makes it difficult to reach in and press down the hook that keeps the cabinet door from opening.
One of the hooks swivels easily and works great, the other however is stuck in the "closed" position and can only be turned with pliers. This is a major pain and impairs functionality.
I like the concept, but for us it did not work well.

I have multiple drawers and 1 door in my island base. They work fine on the top drawers only. The rest of the drawers below each other have nowhere to attach the catch that the hook goes into. So I am STILL in a quandry as to how to secure the lower 6 drawers...ALSO, NO SWIVEL! I wrote to the company to ask if I'm doing something wrong with installation, but KIDCO has NOT responded. I am very disappointed. The swivel factor was just perfect for me because I only have my grandson a few days a week. Once the lock is screwed in tightly, the latch WILL NOT swivel.

This is a great product. My husband put these locks on most of our cabinets. As our toddler got taller it became obvious that we needed to do more child- proofing. While out shopping a picked up a different brand of locks. After my husband put one lock on a cabinet. He told me to return them and order the "good ones."

Work perfect no problems. Great that they swivel so we can use them now when we have little ones then can swivel them until we need them again for nieces/nephews

These are very straight foward to install and actually use screws rather than glue. It took me a minute to determin where in my draws to place these to allow the draw to fully close. I very much like that these mount with screws and they are fairly thick plastic. So far they are very effective vs my 1 year old little girl.

These look like a great idea but unfortunately they wouldn't work with our cabinets. The spot where they would have to be mounted on the inside of the cabinet is not flush to mount correctly. Take a look at the inside doors of your cabinets first. Too bad they went back. I'll have to get the locks that go on the outside around the knobs.

We have used these in two homes now, on all kinds of cabinets, and they are the ONLY locks that worked without fail on everykind of drawer and cabinet door we had. They install like a dream where all the others were a nightmare. Terrific!

I bought these for my mom's house. She is super happy that she can lock her kitchen cabinets when my son visits, but doesn't have to deal with them all the time.
