          I am a mom of a 5 year old son and Grammy to a 3 year old granddaughter and they love this! I got one for my son to use in the car when we travel. I also got one to use on my job - I am a mental health counselor and see 12-18 year old girls in a behavioral health facility. The dry erase board is great for pictionary games and to carry supplies back and forth to the group meetings. I do wish it came in more color choices though.

          This would be more practical if it had a zipper to enclose the items not being used. Otherwise items can easily fall out in vehicle and elsewhere.

            I purchased the lap desks for my children ages 5 and 3. It is great for the car, but not for airplane travel. It can be held in the shown 'triangle' position with the dry erase board exposed, making it bulky to carry or stow in a carry on bag.

              My 6 yr. old grandaughter loves this gift. She had a great time filling up all the pockets with paper, pens, pencils, etc. All the Christmas gifts went in the back of the car with the exception of THIS one. She immediately took it for car travel! My only suggestion is to offer it in more colors than blue/green. Being a girlie-girl, she would have preferred pink/purple or similar feminine color combo. Her name IS engraved in hot pink and that is a nice touch.
