My granddaughter who just turned 2 started playing with it right out of the box and as there were plenty of instruments, we all joined in. It was good for about an hours worth of fun. Even the 1 yr old played along with a maraca.

This is a drum set with several whistles to let kids mke noise. Drum head is not tight enough to make good or loud sound. Whistles require position and breath control, not good for 3 year old. Concept is very good, performance is lacking.

While this was a great gift, the drum/tambourine cover is poorly constructed and non-durable. We had this less than a month and the plastic skin that forms the drum and tambourine has already broke under normal use, and it doesn't appear to be easily replaceable by the consumer, or salvageable as a tambourine only as the broken skin is jagged and sharp.

Bought this as Christmas gift for my grandson. It's a great way for the family to play together. It's also a great way to introduce music to toddlers. One of the instruments has a few small beads attached, which makes it unsafe for very young children. That is the only negative comment. It's a great ensemble of instruments and when you are finished playing, everything can be packed neatly into the drum. We love this toy.

This is a most enjoyable toy for young children but my 3 year old grandson, a typical boy, broke through the top/drum part on it's second day of use. It is not as durable as necessary for young child. I was not able to save the top to use as a tambourine because the remaining jagged edges of the top could not be removed.

If you order this, you have to know it is a noise maker. With that said, this is so much fun for my 3 year old, and for our family. We have a time limit (for our sanity) and we stick to it. This is really encouraging our son to appreciate the different sounds in music. Love It!

Our grandsons, ages 3 & 5, enjoyed making noise for quite some time Christmas morning. The pieces were well-made. We liked that all the items fit into one big container (the lion drum).

We bought this for our 2 year old, but the whole family enjoys playing together. Each instrument is unique, the drum sticks are shaped like snakes, the shakers are shaped as giraffes and more!

I thought it was made of wood. Was disappointed it was all plastic. Otherwise it was what I expected. Loud and fun

This toy was really a hit with all of my grandchildren--ages 1 1/2 to 5. It's a cute container, and great because all the musical pieces fit into it for storage. They all played with all the pieces--and love that when the top is on, it's a drum. I bought 4 of them, one for each family--and it was a hit for everybody.

I gave this to my 19 month old grandson for Christmas and he loves it. After showing him what to do with each piece, he had lots of fun. He especially likes using the drum sticks and blowing on the whistles. I think he will enjoy this for many years.
