About Me Parent of Two or More Children
Comments about Prince Lionheart Hot + Cold Gel Paks 2-Pack:
I purchased two sets of these hot/cold packs, so that I can have 2 in the freezer and 2 available for hot lunches. I have not had a chance to try out the hot method, which is really what I bought them for. I hope very much that it works well, because the very first time we used the frozen ones, they leaked all over my child's lunchbox. Plus, if the pack freezes in any position other than perfectly flat, good luck getting it to fit well in the lunchbox, etc. So, for cold uses, this is not the ideal option.
Not so great :(

They are very thin so they do not take up much room in a lunch box, but they do not stay frozen very long. my daughter is in daycare all day and i needed an ice pack to keep her sippy cups cold all day - and they did not do the trick. if an older child just needs them to get to lunch time, then they probabaly would last. overall not a bad product, just not good for my family..

I have searched forever!!

About Me Grandparent
I have searched forever for a product to keep my grandson's school lunch hot. We live in Ca., so cold is an issue, as well. The problem is always coming up with ideas for all cold lunch for a semi- picky eater. He loves chicken and rice and turkey dogs, even leftover pizza...but NOT cold! These packs(just started using), work great! He actually had a hot lunch packed from home! Works MUCH better than the thermos we got for him and less bulky, easier to use. The bonus..these can be used cold, as well! Yahoo!
These work as expected

I read the reviews about how the plastic was flimsy, but I figured I would give them a try anyway. These are fine for what I am using them for. Yes, the plastic could be made of heavier material. Yes, it would be nice if they were flexible rather than frozen solid. That said, we are only using them to put in lunch boxes to keep things cool. They are still cool (not frozen) at the end of the day when my son brings his lunchbox home. I anticipate that, with the way that we use these, they will last us at the very least, this school year, and most likely a few more. For [$], that is worth it to me.
Love them!

These gel packs are used on a daily basis in my children's lunches. We bought our first set last year and they held up so well, we bought set two last month!
the packs remain flexible during use?

About Me First Time Parent
I bought two sets of this product last year. I was disappointed when I notice the pack wasn't flexible at all after I freeze them. I didn't know the pack should remain flexible during use. Till today, I read the description again and realized that the pack should remain flexible when use. I wish I can still exchange them because I got two sets of them.
a must have for moms!

These were great because I am nursing and I would use the heat packs for freshly pumped breast milk if I was going out for just a couple hours and wasn't able to nurse. They are also great when using formula as they can keep water warm for bottles on the go. i just throw it in my cooler bag because it insulates the heat. I only have 4 stars because one leaked, but I had used it several times before this happened. I great gift idea

Great for keeping bottles warm!

I don't use these for keeping items cold. I use them for keeping the bottle warm. My daughter likes her bottle warm and when we are out and about I don't always have the ability to warm her bottle. I microwave the gel pack for 30 seconds int he microwave, heat the bottle in the bottle warmer and put it in the bottle pack together. It's perfect for her within the hour!

We take our breakfast sandwiches to work in the morning. We just microwave the pack for 50 seconds and put between the sandwiches wrapped in aluminum foil. They're warm and ready to eat during our commute!
a bit flimsy, but gets the job done

I ordered this to replace my two similac cold packs I lost during labor!!! Like ordinary cold packs, this is gel inside a plastic casing. However, the plastic this is made out of seems flimsy. I have not used them yet, and imagine they will work fine, but might get punctured easily.
