Numbers are too big and not standard

Comments about School-Rite Handwriting Numbers Kit:
The numbers measure an inch and a half in height. That's too big for my kindergartener to use for practice. Also, although these numbers are shaped as I have known to follow, they do not all correspond to those taught in public school i.e. the "1" and the "4". In school, the shape is as in this message, not the way it is on the stencil.
I would suggest this to friends.

Never too early to prepare for school

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children
I'm trying to get my 4yr old ready for Kindergarten. She loves to practice writing with these stencils and then trying to write the numbers on her own. Its never too early to start getting your kids ready for school. There's no such thing as being too prepared.

About Me Parent Of Multiples (Twins etc), Parent Of Two Or More Children
The template is trying to guide the child to make the strokes in correct order. Unfortunately, the strokes in a number, say 9, don't meet up, so when you lift the template, you see an incomplete looking number.

this handwrting kit is very good for kids to help them start writing the numbers correctely and the kit made my son interested to trace them but because it is POORLY DESIGNED, number 0,6 and 8, he could not trace them he was getting frustrated and loosing the interest which he had at the begignig when he saw the kit.

This is a great tool for getting kids to trace their numbers. Unfortuately the zero and the six have a plastic spacer in them so that the child has to pick up the pensil instead of making a nice circle. But my son likes it and am getting the alphabet one now..!

I wish the kit came with a writing pad that has lines on it. That would have been extremely helpful. If not, the pad should be sold separately.
