From the first night I hung the cards, my son (3 1/2) was immediately engaged. Bedtime turned from a series of things I had to tight do TO him, to a quick series of things he does himself, with a little help from me. It does help that on the last card we draw a different TV show each night, and once he does everything else he gets a little TV time before we go up for stories and bed.

SUGGESTION: At first I hung the cards directly on the hook provided, but my son had a hard time getting the card on and off to flip it. I tied a ribbon loop through the hole of each card and hung the cards from the ribbon, so my son just flips the card without taking the ribbon off the hook. Easy fix!

My son is 3 1/2 and took to these cards right away and made him feel like he was in charge. I wrote my own card that said to "go potty". The only problem are the hooks that come with the cards. They are plastic and break easily when you don't pull the card off just right. I plan to replace them with the 3M metal hooks instead. Overall great product and I would highly recommend.

This product is wonderful. I don't have to keep repeating myself in the mornings. My son knows to look at the cards. The only con I have is the product should include enough command hooks for the number of cards.

I purchased these cards for my two oldest children ages 6 & 3. I thought they'd be a fun way to get a bedtime routine done without yelling. While the cards are very cute & durable, the hooks they come with are not. I read all of the online reviews about their ability to rip paint off of walls so I bought poster board to apply them to first, THEN applied them to that and let the kids decorate their own boards. Because the hook is at such a strange angle two hooks ripped off on the first night after my children attempted to take the cards off to flip them around. I may attempt using ribbon thru the holes & just hang the cards over their door knobs.

The manufacturer should probably start reading the comments & come up with a new way to make these cards functionable...maybe ribbons?!

Definitely a cute purchase but at the price I paid I don't think I should have to do any additional work with them to make them usable. For two weeks they've just been hanging in my kids' room unused as they're afraid they will break them.

I would recommend only if you planned to add your own hanging device or if manufacturer changed the way they hang.

My daughter loves these cards and every night she does her chores without being asked!!! She is only 4, but really gets into doing the chores. The only problem we had was that after a few days of using them, 2 of the hooks broke and we have to figure out a new way to hang them up. The cards are a little difficult for little hands to easily take off and on, but being a kids product I figured they would be durable. Definitely disappointed by that.

Although my 3-1/2 year old is pretty good about following directions, we found it difficult to keep her on task during the bedtime routine, especially brushing teeth. Now she can't wait to complete one of her chores so she can flip her chore card. The hooks that came with the set did tear the paint off the wall which did make me unhappy. So, i tied a ribbon through each card hole and hung each one on a hook so she could flip them rather than taking each one off the hook and putting it back on to reduce damage to the painted wall. Also, the marker that was to be included in the package was not included.

These cards are fantastic. The first day we got them, my 5 year old daughter was so excited she started her bedtime routine on her own... an hour early! When she woke up the next morning, the first thing she asked was how long until bedtime so she could use them again. She said she wants to get some for every chore. I hope the enjoyment lasts and doesn't wear off too quickly.

The cards are plastic, lightweight, durable, bright and adorable in their simplicity. They look very cute on the wall in her room and she looks so proud as she flips them over to the "done" side. I think these cards are worth every penny... but I don't love the hooks they included. They are ok & it is much better that they came with hooks for immediate use than waiting to run out and buy some or be tempted to use nails, but the cards don't just slip right on the hook. There is only one certain angle they will go on & once you figure it out, it's pretty simple but if you do it wrong it is super easy to break the hook off. I broke the first hook off myself and then it took a chunk of paint off the wall. The other problem is there are 7 cards, but only 6 hooks.

Despite the problem with the hooks, I love these cards and would buy them again. In fact, we are definitely getting the other sets. Good buy!

My husband and I are not schedule people ... and therefore neither is our daughter (age 4), but we realized it would be helpful for her AND us to have a routine to help her get ready for bed.

These cards have been wonderful! I am so very glad I bought them. They really help us all to stay on task with getting ready for bed, and my daughter looks forward to turning them over each night. On the blank card, we drew a picture of a toilet so she would remember to go potty before going to bed.

The only downside is that the very first time she flipped over one of the cards she broke the hook. I was devastated, but knew that might happen based on other reviews. It was very easy to out to the store and get another set of hooks and really wasn't that big of a deal.

Our 2 1/2 year old enjoys flipping the cards over to earn her stars. She gets a little reward for completing the routine each night if she doesn't lose focus. Bedtime routine used to be a nightmare... she used to prolong the routine to avoid the inevitable getting into bed. We still have our occasional glitches- but much better now! Wish they had additional cards for staying dry, staying in bed, and sleeping through the night :)

My son loves to flip these cards over at night after he has done each chore just to see the star. However it did not take long for one of the "hangers" to break. I then tried to remove the piece that was left as instructed and it pulled the paint right off my wall. I'm going to keep using them but I think that more durable hangers are in order. My son is 4 and no matter how careful you tell him to be he still tugs and pulls to flip the cards over. If the hooks could stand up better to a 4 year old - these would be perfect

These chore cards are just what I was looking for, are well made, and my daughter loves using them. The only drawback is that the hooks sent to hang them on do not work easily with the cards. The location of the hole on the card and the size of the hook don't work well for 5-year old hands, making it difficult for them to flip the cards over and re-hang them themselves. A bit of a bummer considering I purchased these to teach independence as well as responsibility.

My daughter loves the chore charts, even at 4 years old! I wish there were more blank cards to personalize for her age. She uses the cards daily and loves her independence.

I got these cards for my 2 year old daughter, since her older brother had the larger responsibility chart. She LOVES the cards and has started putting PJs on by herself as a result. It's also a nice reminder for mommy to brush her teeth & read a book! My only comment is it is a little hard for a 2 yr old to replace the card on the clear hooks. But otherwise, great product!
