          We recently bought a new house with a hugs fireplace. The hearth is a brick just like in the picture. We wanted something so that the baby did not bang her head because she is always crawling over to it. This product has been a life saver for her head. They give you more than enough velcro pads to hold it down. As long as your hearth is clean they apply eaily and stay on. The only thing was I wish it came with the option of buying a little extra if needed. Our fire place is massive and longer then the mount of foam that they give you. So we had to come up with something different for the one end.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          Merchant response: Please make sure you clean the hearth first by vacuuming the stone or brick. If any pieces are indented from shipping, you can straighten by heating with a blow dryer. And then clean the hearth and the underside of the cushion with rubbing alcohol where you will apply the hook ‘n loop adhesive strips and allow to dry. The adhesive strips need to set for a minimum of 2 days to reach maximum strength.
