Comments about One Step Ahead Bench Seat Cover & Protector:

I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and the overall size is perfect. The fabric is like a thick, yet lightweight durable canvas.

It lays down fine, but there are flaps on the sides where the doors open that ruffle up and can't be tucked anywhere. It just looks messy. I can tolerate that because its far less messy than mud on the upholstery. The only thing I think is bad construction is where the seat and back meet. It's a huge, gaping slit to fit the seat buckles through. I don't I see why Velcro wasn't put there so that 1,they would be more easily accessible- my kids have to search under the fabric for them, and 2, if they should eat in the car, food will definitely get between the wide gap onto the seat. I'm going to buy a large strip of Velcro and sew it on.

My kids are in boosters still but I don't imagine it's very comfortable to sit on. I wouldn't recommend this for older kids not in car seats.
Overall, it does the job well but could use some design alterations.

I have had this for my Subaru Forester for a couple years now and it does do a good job of protecting the seat. It doesn't cover it perfectly but I am able to get it around the edges.

We just recently got another one for a new van and it is PERFECT with the bench seat. I could not believe how well it fits upon installation.

A great product to protect from carseats and children.

This is product is now spanning my back seat. While it did not attach at easy as I would have liked the end result is more than satisfactory.
As an on the go Mom my son is always getting french fries, toys, chips and other things stuck in my seats. I've cleaned everything from milk to melted crayons.
This is proving to be a great seat saver.

Great product but very difficult to accommodate seatbelts on the back seat of an SUV. My clever husband spent some time helping me and he eventually reached a suitable arrangement. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Comments about One Step Ahead Bench Seat Cover & Protector:

I was excited to receive this product, as I wanted to keep my backseat clean, and this product was recommended by a family member. I measured my backseat prior to purchasing, however this cover did not fit (even though it was described as fitting from compact cars to small SUVs - I drive a 2010 Subaru Outback, which seems like it would fall within this range). The cover was not tall enough or wide enough to sit properly on the seatback or bench. As a result, it left big gaps where the buckle holes sat and was very uncomfortable to sit on. Because it was not the right size, the seams rested in awkward places and it was like sitting on a wrinkled blanket.
This would not have been a problem, except I was disappointed to realize that return shipping is not provided. It cost me more than $12 to return this product. Essentially, I feel like I rented the opportunity to see if it fit. I assumed return shipping would be included, and so I did not confirm this prior to purchasing. Don't make the same mistake as I did!
The material seems very durable, so if it fits, it would seem to be a good product, however, the return shipping is enough of a deterrent that I wouldn't try it if I had the chance to do it over.

Our car seats were getting destroyed by our 2 young boys climbing around the seats and eating snacks. The small seat covers never did the trick. This is genius that it covers the entire seat.

I purchased one of these about 6 years ago and it was much better. The description is not correct there is nothing to loop around the headrest. You can not use the middle seat belt at all. There are cracks where liquids and stuff can get to your seat. It has a 60/40 split place but it is the opposite of mine. I would send it back but then you lose the cost of shipping both ways. The older version was much better -- sorry I threw it out when I ordered this one but thought this would work just as well and since I bought a new car wanted this to be new as well. Does not work well is cars -- maybe better in a SUV. Very, very disappointed!!!

This item installed very easily in my 2011 Honda Pilot. The dealership wanted $250 for a brand name seat cover and that's way above my budget, so I spent my money on this one instead. Install was simple and still allows me access to all the LATCH connections and seat belts. It protects my cloth car seats from muddy and wet shoes. Highly recommended!

We bought this to cover our backseat which usually has 2-3 carseats and/or boosters. We are happy with how well it covers the two sides but the middle is completely open where the seat meets the back and in the short time we've had it, a lot of stuff has ended up fitting through that space, including liquid. It's wide open so there is really nothing to keep it from getting to the seat.
