Upon seeing this strange 'sea mine' shaped toy for the first time, our little one's eyes opened wide and he promptly inserted it into his mouth!

At 4 months old he can easily hold it and, unlike other toys where he might need to rotate the teether to get it into his mouth, this toy has lots of nubs --- so no matter how he holds it, there is always a tantalizing nub to chew on! He has a clear preference for this teether over all others and he gnaws on it like a little beaver.

My husband worries that the nubs might cause some confusion when it comes to breastfeeding, but so far our beaver-boy hasn't mistaken me for a chew toy.

P.S. For those of you who tend to dislike chemically scented things - don't worry... the vanilla scent it isn't that noticeable.

I needed something for my 4 month old to chew on, he seemed to be teething very early, which is frustrating because he can't hold things quite that well yet. When we received this it has been very easy to hold and he chews on it like crazy... it has some give to it so it's not too hard for a younger teether. Overall I am pleased with this toy.

My son absolutely loves this teether. I have purcahsed many different types of teethers but this is the only one that he enjoys using frequently. And it is easy for him to hold.

My daughter loves the teether. It is easy for her to hold and the numbs are long enough to get into all of the areas that are sore. However if you have a dog you may not want to buy this. It looks and sweaks just like a dog toy.

My son loves chewing on this ball. He's at that stage where everything goes straight into his mouth and this ball is great because he can use the nubs as handles while he chews on another one. I also enjoy that it is soft so it won't hurt his gums and is easy to rinse off when he's done playing with it.

I love this teether for my five month old. He can hold it himself and actually get it in his mouth. I always thought Sophie the Giraffe was my favorite, well this has now surpassed. A must have for your baby who wants to chew on everything!

I never saw anything like this before but decided to try it for my teething 6 month old. It look him a couple of days to get used to the smell (vanilla) but once he did he can't get enough. And I think its cut down on how irritable he is because of his teeth cause the ball can fit perfectly in his mouth to chew! Definetly would recommend this product to anyone.

My 6-mo loved this as soon as it hit his hands. He is teething pretty crazy and will gnaw on this for 20 minutes at a time, and so far has played with it every day since it came. My 23-mo also loves it and unfortunately takes it out of his hands to chew on it for her molars coming in. Wish they came in other colors so I could have one for each readily distinguishable. Only concern is that the 6 mo slams it up and down likes he's Eminem at a rap concert and I am afraid he is going to poke his eye with one of the spikes, but so far it hasn't happened. Overall, great for the price.
