This is a gift and will be used this summer in the lake - Cannot write a good review due to the fact there is a foot of snow on the ground right now -- the gift will be used in a couple of months and will know more at that time what we think of it. We bought this nearly 3 years ago to use on vacation with my son...we now use it with my 1 yr old daughter! Both loved it! (Although, they both thought the octopus was a little scary at first.) I love the sun shade and the protection the float offers. It's also been so great to have our kids in the pool without having to hold them the entire time! It is a little tough to fold sometimes (esp if you're my husband, haha) but I love how compact it is. Super easy to travel with!

I purchased this float for my 10-month old before our first Florida vacation (and only her second time ever in the pool). When I was inflating it, it felt kind of flimsy and I wasn't sure how it would hold up in the water - boy, was I surprised! It is extremely stable in the water and my daughter just loved being in it. She could have floated for hours and was perfectly comfortable. The only downsides are: 1. The little inflatable octopus at the front - I think it's supposed to be a toy, but it just got in the way. Easily removed. 2. As other reviewers had mentioned, it is very difficult to fold back in to the carrying case. 3. The week after purchasing it, I saw the same item selling for a discount on a daily deals-type website =(. At lease my daughter had it for her trip.

It's always hard to review something that hasn't been used yet, but it's still March and way too cold for outside water fun! That being said, here's what I see. The product looks like depicted in photo, seems well made and easy to use and clean. (Can't wait for warm weather to try out!)

This was a lifesaver for our 14 month old that we just took on our family vacation! Best buy ever! He loved it and even took naps in it out of the water poolside!! The sun shade was perfect for that as he didn't get burnt at all. I couldn't have asked for a better product. PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!

The directions indicate various toys that hang off the activity center. I did not get any.

This float is great for my petite 18-month old baby girl, she only weighs about 22 lbs. She loves it, seems comfortable, & stays above the water. The canopy is great & shades her most of the time. I still always have a hat on her for added sun protection. I can usually reposition her so she is shaded. It is not intended for you to be able to leave the baby unattended of course. I make sure to be with my baby in the water the entire time. Keep in mind, this is for babies at least 9 months old. The canopy on this float makes me feel so much better for her to be out in the sun and I have not had any issues with it staying up. She has used this in the lake with a life jacket and in a pool. This float also holds a lot of her bath toys that she can play with and this is a bonus! The float is great quality and is worth buying for sure!

We bought it for our first son early last summer and he loved it!!! Now our second son is using it (and sometimes our first still wants in!) and although he is a little young to "love it" the way his brother does I don't doubt he eventually will.
It's very cute and colorful.
The only 2 things that I would call a con is that (1) the canopy doesn't stay up well in the middle of the float (like the picture shows) unless you hold it. (2) it can be awkward to deflate (especially if it's not completely dry)

My son really enjoys being in this when we bring him in the pool. We thought at 6 months, he might not fit, but he does and loves it!!

We bought the float to take on a vacation to the Caribbean. Our son is 18-months-old and big for his age. This was the first challenge since it was hard to fit his legs through and did not keep him as elevated as advertised. We cut the leg holes a little bigger and it worked. The water was just under his chin but he was happy and content to float. I just did not feel comfortable taking my hands off of him due to the water levels.

Also - the sun shade is not worth the money. Ours did not stay up so we removed it the first day.

It worked for our trip but not worth the price.

My one year old daughter loves this floaty, she actually cries when I take her out. It allows her to be independent & interact with other kids in the pool. We put her in our clubs kid pool & she strolls around to see all the other kids. I can actually sit poolside & enjoy friends & wine, of course while keeping an eye on her. But it's a must have in my opinion!

This truly is a great product!!! We purchased it for our 10 month old, and she was introduced to the pool using it. Of course, when it was time to put it away, we couldn't get it back into the package on the first shot- It never fits the way it does from the factory! But, other than that, I highly recommend it. No leaks, no problems. I felt my daughter was safe in it and after getting settled, she felt comfortable also!

Small or very young children should not use this product. I have six month old twins. One is over 17 pounds, the other just 14. Neither could use the "boat", because the water came up to their necks. A simple turn or tuck and their mouths were under water. However, I think they will be perfect next summer!
