Doesn't work with ALL TVs

They really should change the description to say it works with most TVs. We have a large LG flat screen purchased about 3 1/2 years ago that does not have any extra holes for safety straps so this did not work for us. It's a nice product when it is usable though. I gave it to my sister to use with her brand new LG that does have holes since the return shipping would have been about the same cost as the product.

Half the screw heads popped off during installation, so I wasn't able to tighten the furniture brackets all the way and I'll never be able to remove them.

After seeing a recent News show discussing the risk of Flat Screen TV falling on infants and causing injury and in some cases death, We decided with the upcoming holiday visit of our 17 month grandson that we would invest in this product. I am glad we did, as you may expect, he was everywhere and on several occasions pulling and pushing on the TV. Great investment, easy to install, and most important peace of mind.

The bolts to attach to the TV do not fit a Samsung 60: LCD (too short). Hardware store has correct length at low cpat BUT - directions should say they are non US threads. The hardware store guy took a long time to find the right ones.

I agree with previous reviews that the product does not work with Samsung, because the bolt does not fit in the back of the tv. But I went to the local hardware store, found a metric bolt that fit. Make sure the threads are the same width as the original bolt and the bolt needs to be a 1/2 inch longer so that it fits both the strap and the indentation where the bolt will screw in. once I found the right bolt, it worked fine.

Straps only required drilling a couple holes, because I chose to use nuts and bolts to get better durability to our TV stand. Screws would work just fine too though (which wouldn't require any drilling). Strap attached to TV without any problems, the bolts they provided for the TV varied in sizes, and one size fit perfectly for our 32" LCD Insignia TV. We have a 2 and 3 year old and they haven't even messed with it. Gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing that the TV is now anchored just in case curious children decide to push the TV when we are not looking!

After researching similar products the reviews influenced us to purchase these for our grandchildren's parents to use on their big screen tv which rests on a cabinet on tall legs. We also bought One Step ahead's stabilizing straps for the cabinet. Their father installed them fairly easily. We hope and pray this will keep the kids safe when playing around the unit.

When we bought our new tv, I was disappointed that you can only get a flat screen now because I have 2 children that love to touch it. Until I put these straps on I was always worried they would knock the tv over or pull it onto themselves, but now that the straps are on, it's very securely attached. They were easy and quick to install and I attached them right to the tv cabinet, so you can't even see them. There have been several times since I installed them that my 2 year old has bumped the tv, and it barely moved. i highly recommend these for all households where kids can reach the flat screens!

Not compatible with our tv. We too have a Samsung and found the screws are not long enough. What a pain. This should not say it works with all types of tv's if it cost just as much to buy correct replacement screws as it almost does for the product. Great idea. Wish it was complete.

Can these be used to attach to a glass tv stand? It looks like the straps are screwed onto a wooden stand in the pictures. This isn't an option with a glass stand.

  The Anti-tip Flat Screen TV Safety Straps measure 2" - 30"L. You would need to check the measurement from VESA holes on the back of your flat screen TV to either the wall where you are able to locate the studs. Or to where you would be attaching to the TV stand to ensure that the 30" is adequate to safely anchor the TV.

While securing the tv to the furniture, can you think of a way to prevent the furniture itself from tipping? Would the weight of the 'very large' flat screen help with that. What about 'weights added to the straps in the back? I am a very concerned granny. Mommy and Daddy don't see a problem. Their two children are 1 and 2yrs. old and I am so nervous. The TV is 55" or larger, sitting on a 30" high x 60"long wood? tv stand. It doesn't even seem stable (wobbly)
