Trimming teeny, tiny nails can be a nerve-wracking experience, because it's all too easy to clip them too short! Not to worry: these clever clippers have an attached 4x magnification lens, giving you much more control...and much less anxiety. The stainless-steel cutters are curved and sized just for tiny nails. For newborns and up. Endorsed by the American Red Cross — a name you trust. (2-3% of purchase price goes to the American Red Cross; see our entire American Red Cross collection.) See Product Details

About Me Parent of Two or More Children
These are quality clippers for a good price. Much better than some (non-red cross brand) we bought at babies are us. These cut evenly as opposed to other brands. We don't use the magnifying glass, but the oversized handle works great (and the magnifying glass works fine for those who like that).[...]

Great clippers

These clippers are very sharp and dont need a lot of pressure to trim nails. I dont use the magnifying glass as its hard to see thru and distorts my view. They work perfectly fine without it. Its much easier to wait until baby is asleep to trim nails. The only problem I have, and I wouldnt really consider it a problem, is that if the lever isnt completely straight, aligned with the base, it's harder to clip the nail and more pressure is needed and then you might make an accidental cut. But if you make sure its aligned there is no problem at all.I love these clippers!
best nail clipper

As a first time parent, nothing terrified me more than trimming my newborn's extremely long, sharp, and soft nails. I tried two other clippers and this is the one I kept. This trimmer is the perfect size both for cutting little nails and for an adult's grasp. I was not able to use it with the magnification feature (that was the only time I cut his thumb), but I love the clipper without it.

Good idea. However, I feel that the magnifying glass isn't of great quality because the image is distorted. I feel like I'm looking through a prescription magifying glass that wasn't made for me! So, when I do use it, I do without the magnifying glass part. Red Cross makes another nail clipper that's more compact (not as bulky) and also comfortable to hold. I use that one more than this one.
Makes trimming nails a snap!

I was scared to death to use a clipper to trim my baby's nails. I filed them for the first year, until I received these clippers as a gift. Unlike other reviewers, I do use the magnifying glass and find it very helpful. I can always see the nail clearly and the clipper requires a minimum of pressure to do it's job. I also like the compact and sleek design.

Works great! I don't even use the magnifying glass anymore. I bought one for the house and one for Grandma's!

About Me First Time Parent, Parent of Multiples (Twins etc)
These clippers are great for clipping my twins finger and toe nails. I do not use the magnifier, as it distorted the image too much for my comfort. The clippers are sharp and easy to hold in my hand. I have used these since my twins were brought home from the hospital as 9 day old preemies. I would buy these again and recommend to all moms.
THE SINGLE GREATEST PURCHASE

This is THE BEST purchase of a childcare product I have made in the past year! They make quick work of trimming my twins' tiny little fingernails and toenails. Ordinarily, trying to trim their nails is a bit like wrestling a badger, but in my first use of this product, I trimmed ALL 20 fingernails and 20 toenails in under 5 minutes! No fuss, no muss; no crying, no stress! I recommend this to EVERYONE!!
Best nail clipper!

I've tried two other types of nail clippers and this one is the best so far. It clips easily and feels comfortable in my hands. Other clippers tend to take a few tries before the nail actually clips off, but this one does it the first time. I've found the magnifier to be unnecessary since I started using the clippers when my baby was older, but might be useful for weaker eyes or smaller nails.
Clippers of choice

This is the second set of clippers I bought. The first one had the top "lever" nested inside the main part. So I was constantly pushing it down crooked and meeting resistance against the side of the clippers...thinking I was meeting the resistance of baby skin! It was scary and made the experience even mores stressful. So I bought this pair and they work great for clipping my baby's nails. I keep them in my purse so I can clip them when she falls asleep in the car. However, the magnifying glass part doesn't work for me at all! (I get along fine without it.)
