Santa brought this crayon to my daughter & the first tome she used it the crayons broke as soon as she started to draw. Terrible quality, very disappointed.

Even with direct supervision it broke as the whole length of color stick comes out. MUST continually reinforce needs to ONLY expose smallest amount of color stick at each use. Frustrated that when one stick did break there is no apparent way to try to fix it. 5 or younger NO WAY

I bought this for my niece for her birthday. She loves to color & just loved the 8-in-1. She never used one before & now takes it everywhere. It's also easier when traveling because it stays together & in just one click she can change the color. Easy for little hands & compact!!!

I have 2 boys, and the crayon was well used. They sticks do break very easily when they extended them out of the crayon more than they should, still usable

Great product but only for kids that are older. My 3 yr old broke almost 1/2 of the red crayon the fist time he used it. I guess he pulled out too much at one time.

I am a grandparent who purchased this for my 2-1/2 year old grandchild. It works okay but some of the crayons broke easy. Great concept if they can master and minimize the breaking issues and design the product for the average strength of the age group this product is intended for. From what reviews I read, some folks didn't have breaking issues. My experience, could there have been a quality issue with my purchase and those who rated the product below 3 stars? I can't imagine the rating of 3+ stars would be related to the strength of the child using it. I am more inclined to think it a quality issue because I would think the manufacturer took into consideration the avg strength/age of the child when testing and manufacturing the product. Bottom line, I would not purchase this product nor recommend it unless I saw this product labeled "New and Improved" against breaking etc.

My son loved this crayon but unfortunately the part that holds the crayons in broke after one month of use.

i have children in my daycare from 2-10, and 2 children of my own. i bought one for each of them this christmas, and they all love it. my 2 year old learned how to use it in just 3 tries!! my 4 year old taught my 10 year old how it works, and had to show everyone the new crayon. we love this product because there are no loose crayons layoing around and it is nice for them all to have their own instead of arguing over crayons. we take them in the car with us to color in our books on a drive and the kids seem to do better holding on to them than multiple crayons.

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 6 year old and it broke within the first day of her having it. The gear on top broke and so it would not turn the different crayons within. I loved the idea of this but it just wasn't worth it when it broke within the first 24 hours.

This is great for in the car. it's not meant for primary use because the crayon sticks do break if used roughly.

My 5 year old daughter loved this immediately. It is crayons, but they are fine-pointed so they can be used for writing, and they are always sharp. Eight great colors all together and hard to lose - perfect for traveling. The only downside is that i don't think there is a refill - meaning when you run out of some of the colors it will slowly lose appeal and be trashed.
