My grandson crawls in comfort on this mat. I can seat comfortably and play with him. It comes apart easily to show him the letters in the mat. I just wish it were larger or less expensive because I'd buy another one or two to fill our floor.

I loved this letter puzzle mat as a soft flooring, teaching letters and words, and just general play. Also, when stored, it makes a great sitting stool or stool for little ones to reach countertops when helping in the kitchen. I would give it five stars, but the red parts started disintegrating after a few years. It was only the red and I'm not sure why.

A recent move to a house with cold concrete floor in the sun room prompted us to order more of these mats to cover the entire area. The grandbabies now have a very cheerful and much safer play area.

We purchased this set along with the 10 piece number set and the border pieces about 9 months ago and love them. We have hardwood floors and my 6 month old had just started sitting up on his own so we wanted something softer for him to play on. These floormats fit the bill perfectly! My son is about to turn 16 months and we still use them and want to purchase more for his play room. One of the things I loved the most about the product was that you could purchase borders for a more finished look.

I love playing with my son on this mat! It's bright and colorful but also safe and sturdy. It does a great job of dividing an open room by defining a separate play area. Much better quality than mats I've seen in stores, while in the same price range. It comes cleaner than the floor or carpeting does so I don't worry if he is on his tummy playing with toys in his mouth.

I bought this mat because it looked beautiful and thick enough to protect my kid from bumping his head on the floor when he was learning to seat, crawl, etc. At the begining we loved it, but after a few months the red pieces started to peal off! There were flakes everywhere, it was a nightmare! Not recommendable for infants and toddlers! We don't wear shoes in the house, so it is not like you can say that our shoes damaged the mat. Plus, as I said it was only the red pieces flaking off. It's a shame because the mat is otherwise lovely, especially because it is really thick and colorful.

It's great for my 5 month old. He has a safe play area and loves feeling all the different textures. And I know it's going to be great as he grows older - it will be a puzzle but also a learning tools for colors and letters. Definitely recommend.

I bought one for my then 17 months old daughter. She loved it as soon as I opened up the box. And so did we, my husband and I. It is easy to clean, the colors are so pretty for a child's room. In addition, it is warmer to sit on the mats than just floor. I loved it so much that I got a set for my new niece, as well as "set of numbers" and just solid colors for both of them.

I love this for my son, but I am afraid it is not going to work for a learning aid as I had hoped; it is hard to see the letters when there are toys over them. However, it is thick enough that he is not taking the pieces apart all of the time (this was a problem I had with a different set). It provides a nice cushion for when he stumbles.

We have a small apartment and this floor crated little space for our 4 month old in our living room. It's not too soft which I was afraid off and is perfect on our hardwood floor. We've been using it for over a month now and I don't see any signs that it's been used.

These are much better than any other mats I have owned. They are thicker, and are much easier to keep clean! The only negative is there is an obnoxious smell.

16 years ago this made a wonderful safe toy for a two year old to build forts and then knock them apart knocking the letters out. Then it became a great tactile alphabet teaching tool. Just bought it for his 21 month old brother. Quality is high like 16 years ago and the cycle of life begins again. Grand kids are so much fun.

We use this mat for my 8 month old who is rolling and starting to crawl. I don't have carpet as I did with my daughter, so I was always afraid to put him on the floor. With this mat I am less worried about him hitting his head. I put it down when he is on the floor and pick it up when he is done. Love the little storage bag. Great product. I will be ordering the numbers to make it biger to put in the playroom.

I looked at these letters several times over a 6-8 month period, compared it to other mats, debated whether it was a good idea....

So glad I decided to purchase it, you don't need all the borders just the letters will do, great to have a place where we can lay out all his toys at playtime.

As an added benefit it makes a great photo backdrop - I can't tell you how many great photos I ended up with while my son played on this mat already.
