This was perfect for us. We have hotel-style doors which are extremely heavy. This was the extra-added protection we needed on top of just watching our son's fingers like a hawk.

I couldn't be happier knowing that my little door slammer will now be protected from squshing his little fingers. I have these on all the bedroom doors and they are easy to put on and take off when you actually need to close the door. Great Idea!

My two boys tend to slam doors around our house and I was really psyched to find something from One Step Ahead that could keep their fingers ON their hands and not in a ziploc bag of ice on the way to the ER.

Alas, this is not the product.

My three year old was frustrated at not being able to shut the door and took a couple of good hard slams -- brought what was left of the door stop to me. "Look, Mommy -- I broke this."

Hmmm...I expected something a little more sturdy and able to stand up to real kiddos.

I am really happy with these. I am using them on the top of the door so my son can't pinch his fingers on the hinge side either. The only thing I would change would be if they could hang on the door knob or something when not in use.

My daughters were driving me nuts slamming their bedroom door and I was more than a little worried about crushed fingers. (My brother's fingers were crushed in a slammed door.) I've had these for nearly a month and they work like a charm! They're large and foam and slide easily onto the edge of a door. They keep the door open approximately 2-3 inches. I use the second one on the bathroom and can take it off in a snap when privacy is needed. They work exactly as I'd hoped!

Great design and it doesn't break easily. I have these at all my doors. The problem still remains that if one kid is closing the door the other can still have their hand by the other opening and get it caught. Now I just stuff the door hindge with material objects so they can't close the door to their room.
