Not kid friendly enough

The chemistry set is fun. But the tubes are made of glass which is not good with kids, especially around hard surfaces like tile and bath tubs. Also, the tubes do not stand up in the thing provided if it is out of the water. So there is not a good way to set them out of the water or store them.

Perfect for my son who was bored with dull squirt toys and had every boat imaginable! He loved the interactive way you can change colors and "see what happens". This brought out his imagination playing scientist, a chef cooking soup and artist by splashing the colors on the shower wall. I would give this 5 stars but the expensive of refills can be costly. I had to limit the colors for each bath to make them last. He also used the floating table for other play instead of using the side of the tub and gettign water on the floor- double bonus!

My 2-year old son loves this so much we had to buy a second one to use at our lake house.He loves mixing the colors, using the small cup to pour colored water from tube to tube, and watching his bath water turn pretty colors as well. The only down side is that he loves it so much we are buying many refills of the colored tablets. If you get this, load up on the refills right away. You'll need them!

An unusual, intriguing toy for any age past 3.
It's fun to just pour water in, but with the
fizzies, it's unbeatable. Tablets don't stain our
fiberglass tub/walls, don't irritate skin, but they
do go fast. Order plenty of extras. Kit can even
be used outside the tub for kitchen experiments.
EXCELLENT gift -- good price, unusual, unisex appeal.

I purchased this for my 2 year old son and he loves it. I haven't introduced the fizzy tablets yet because he's still in the "touch it, taste it" phase. But this is an excellent toy to introduce the concepts of volume and basic math. It's very durable and the tubes can handle being dropped, thrown around, etc.(I speak from experience!). He took to it instantly and loves taking baths now, just so he can play with his "chemistry set".

I bought this set with one set of refills for my 5 year old kindergartener for Christmas and she absolutely loves making her "potions" with the fizzy tablets. The only problem is that the fizzy tabs go really quickly so make sure and buy multiple refills. I've had to explain to my child that I have a letter in to Santa to find out where to get more refills since hers are going so fast. Seriously, it's not bathtime without the chemistry set.

My twins love this toy. The tablets produce vibrant colors, it includes a measuring cup so they can learn about measurements, and there are enough test tubes for them to share. I love that. They are so busy measuring and mixing they stay out of trouble! And clean up is not an issue. Unlike bath crayons there is nothing to clean up afterwards!
